SHOW: The box is crafted of sturdy material what seems to be a door on the top, though it appears to have nothing in the way of a hinge or catch to open. Curiously, a well-oiled handle protrudes from one side.

Inspecting that may not be a sound idea.
when you turn the box, it casts 401 on you - obviously, I used one charge to figure this out. Had a bard sing to it and here's what the loresong said:
- The first thing that strikes you about the box is the weight, which is about 5 pounds.
- You sense that this is some type of holy item. From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the box is to cast a spell or perform some magical purpose.
- This is a magical item, which casts spells from the Elemental sphere. It has a few charges.
- The carved monir box contains the spell Elemental Defense I, from the Minor Elemental circle.
- You sense that the carved monir box will disintegrate after its last magical charge has been expended.
