YOU SOLD ME FAULTY POTIONS!?
Actually, I'm probably just doing something wrong. It should just be as simple as POURing the potion on my enhancive weapon, right? Cuz like, nothing happens. And now I'm down 2 doses :(

You need to temper the item with a regular potion first.

It also requires a large amount of skill when compared to the enhancive properties of that particular item.
My 50 enchanting-only wizard failed on the first pour of a set of armor I have. It took Rimalon two tries to get it to work.

No these are the pretemper potions. My 34 wizard was to young to use them though. Also make sure your item isn't blessed. Had that problem with two enchants now.

I'm amused all you pre-cap mages want these things more than post-cap ones.

Pre-temper potion, temper potion, wait 10-13 days. Repeat. Profit!

Will check the blessedness when I get home. What was the message you got when you failed yours?

When it was blessed it just returned to normal. My failed pretemper showed a end roll of just over 200 but did nothing (don't remember the message). Rimalon says they have made it easier since though.
Ok. I didn't even get an endroll, so I'm guessing it is blessed. Thanks! :D

HERE is the message if you pour something on a blessed weapon:
>pour pot on my nag
You pour your potion on the naginata.
The liquid coats the burnished naginata, which glows faintly white for a moment and then returns to normal.
You have 2 doses left.
HERE is the message if you pour something and FAIL:
You pour your potion on the runestaff.
1d100: 20 + Modifiers: 199 == 219
The liquid absorbs into the black carmiln runestaff too quickly as you fumble to begin your chant and gestures, and the runestaff is dry in a moment's notice leaving no noticable change.
Roundtime: 20 sec.

And here is Naos' original announcement:
This update introduces support for a new class of potions known as pre-temper potions. These types of potions are designed to be applied to an item to prepare it to take a standard temper potion. This preparation step is required for each step in an enchanting project, meaning a project for 0x to 1x would require a single dose, while a project for 4x to 5x would require five doses; one dose is required per step in each case. This pre-temper effect typically lasts five minutes, giving the enchanter ample time to pour a second potion.
The messaging for a pre-temper potion follows a standard form, which each type of pre-temper having a different glow description:
You pour your potion on the falchion.
As the liquid coats the surface of the mithril falchion, you murmur a few words of power while gesturing over the falchion.
The liquid quickly seeps into the mithril falchion and leaves nothing behind but a faint glow.
You examine the falchion closely and, though the faint glow appears to be fading rapidly, are satisfied that it is ready to take a standard tempering potion.

Updated, going TWICE. Last call.
Due to extenuating circumstances, this auction is going to end quickly.
These potions will be SOLD at midnight EST.
After that, all of the potions I brew are going into a playershop for a flat price. Details to come.
