Tuesday night everything worked fine, Wednesday I get home from work and try loggin in via the SGE and when it gets to talking to server or validating user name is lags out or will eventually roll to selecting the game if I wait long enough (several minutes), once I get in game the lag is so bad playing is basically impossible. :wtf:
This is what I've done trying to figure out the problem:
1. Tried connecting via SGE on 3 different computers from my house (2 have the new version of psinet, 1 has the old).
2. Tried connecting via the website on a 4th (new) computer (from home and doesn't have psinet) - same issue.
3. Called tech support for my ISP, we checked my lines, my modem and my router - all appeared to work just fine.
4. Tried connecting, via my work ISP (fastest connection speed in our area) using the java application - same issue.
5. Sent letter to SIMU tech support - still waiting for a reply although I don't expect them to really help.
6. Set my normal computer back to a restore point three days before the issue started (because I found some windows updates - thought that might be the issue) - no difference.. still lags out to a point of freezing.
7. I do not notice any lag when visiting other websites or downloading from other sources.
I'm not sure what else there is I can try but I am willing to listen to suggestions if there are any.
