I had already put my coins in the paper box and retrieved my paper dreaming of pork, eggs, and pancakes when I learned they were going to hand out vouchers to every angry person left in line after the time cutoff.

The first = you got there and they were too busy so they would have to give you a voucher for a free breakfast at a later date. (Which by the way IS STILL A FREE BREAKFAST, so they didn't technically promise something they couldn't keep.)

The second = you got there and they were so busy that you decided not to eat there.

Maybe if you could express yourself worth a damn in the first place, or in the first three places since it took you four fucking posts to explain why it was Denny's fault (even though it wasn't - you could've waited for your free breakfast voucher), then maybe people wouldn't jump your shit. (Ok, they still would, but I wouldn't have jumped your shit in this instance except to mention that a voucher != broken promise).
