So I was wondering, Anyone figure out all the factors that go into enchanting yet?

Is the new enchanting system released now?

I think it's heavily based on wizard spell ranks, miu, and scroll. I don't think mana share plays a big part in it. Those are the skills most other wizards I've talked to say they have alot of and so far most of them are enchanting fine. Me I don't even know 925 yet... Maybe one day heh.

Anticor pretty much hit the nail on the head. But I'd also think that stats also play a role in enchanting. Encumberance is also a factor.

I hate the fact that encumberance has a role in casting spells like enchantment. Makes no in character sense to me.

If you're encumbered, you're more weak and tired than normal. You need to be strong and rested to successfully harness the power required for an enchantment.

Who ever said encumberance played a factor with it?

There's so much conjecture around.

The GMs said encumbrance played a factor with it.

Through playing around with enchanting. The best way to enchant is stashing all your items in a locker, especially your armor, wearing no spells, and going to a workshop. MIU plays a role as does mana share. However, I've yet to hear an official word that scroll reading means a damn thing when it comes to enchanting.....

It was posted that it had an effect. Same as scrolls.

I understand about waving a wand, but invoking a scroll or casting the enchant spell simply makes no sense to me.

Did you read my post at all? I've already explained why encumbrance would affect enchanting.

I am thinking the primary stats probably play a big role too.(Aura and Intelligence) However I am thinking Intelligence in GS4 will be replaced by Logic. I can see how scroll reading would play a part, Thank the GMs for changing the name of Scroll reading in GS4 to express what it really goes into.

Encumbrance is a big factor. I would miss around 40%1x casts when I was encumbered and I never miss when I wasn't.
