Took a break from my usual Thursday night of ordering pizza or Chinese food to get chicken parmigiana w/spaghetti. So good, but so many carbs...but so good...

What food does it for you?

Filet mignon with asparagus (canned, I hate fresh asparagus) and baked potatoes.

There's a Japanese food place nearby that I go to when I want to treat myself. I loooove their shrimp teriyaki (sp?). Otherwise, my favorite food is spinach (strange I know).

I love my dad's spaghetti.

After that, it's meat loaf (with ketchup), mashed potatoes, and sweet corn.

Ummm so much to choose from, but I would have to say for comfort food, Roasted Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Peas, Cole Slaw and Cornbread.

I would go straight for dessert: ice cream with hot fudge topping to start if we are talking comfort food.

A nice filet mignon.

Any sort of fondue. This restraunt I go to has like different ways to do it too..oil, broth, etc. We do this broth with wine and mushrooms in it, and we drop cut pieces of filet in it. Oh, and cheese fondue, classic style with the brandy, garlic, lemon. I like to dip bread in it or carrots. And let us not forget, CHOCOLATE FONDUE.

If anyone has a restraunt called the Melting Pot near them, GO THERE. Its a bit pricey but you pretty much want to throw up from how much you've eaten because it is soooo good.

If it was a job, I'd LOVE to be a professional eater. I actually love to eat just about anything, and having been all over the world like to think I've had a great variety.

I think one of my favorite main dishes would be yaeger schnitzel with a wild mushroom sauce, with spaetzel.

I would have to say Spicy Noodles with beef and fried rice at this little hole in the wall Thai place in Chicago that is open at ungodly hours.

I crave it fortnightly.

Damnit, I crave it now.

Tournadoes of tenderloin served with bearnaise sauce.

Then again I like fish 'n chips just fine, as long as I'm in New England. Gimme some Herrell's ice cream for dessert and it's finestkind.

Spinach salad with scallops, bacon, and a tiny bit of alfredo sauce instead of salad dressing. Mmmmm.

Also, the green dragon and phoenix rolls from Tengda, a sushi bar/restaurant in Westport. Double mmmmm.

Chili Mac - Beans, Cheese, but no onions
(Chili on top of spagetti)

Hard Times (a resturaunt chain) has the best chili.
http://hardtimes.com/
Mostly VA & MD, with one in Indianapolis, IN and one in Raleigh, NC. I heard they opened (or are opening) one in Putney, SW London, so you oversees people may be in luck.

I third that, their filet mignon is at least an inch thick and delicious. Everything is a la carte, so you pay for fries, etc. Expect to pay near $100 if you bring a date.

So, $50 Tayre.

Ruth's Chris is also the best restaurant I've ever been to. Been to one in Chicago (Northbrook) and Raleigh as well. Had an amazing filet each time.

Whenever the wife and I go to Chi town for a get-a-way, Ruth's Chris is one stop we always make. Although it's been like 8 years since I went to Jordan's, I still remember that as the absolute best NY strip I have ever had outside of my own kitchen.

Now for a surprisingly good meal that nearly rivals Ruth's, head to the Illiana border east of Danville, IL. The Beef House is a must when we head to Indy on I-74.

In my own kitchen it's Prime Rib, Roasted Chicken, Texas style smoked BBQ beef brisquit, Kreplach, Cholent, and Challah.
