I am one of the lucky ones that live in Nova Scotia.

We are being hit by a weather bomb. Ever see Storm of the Century? Crap. I hate blizzards.

And Canada uses the metric system. Coincidence?

I've learned to change to ferenheit (sp) and such, because most people on these boards dont know what -40C or 100C mean.

What I meant was...

Canada uses Metric system.

God punishes Canada with weather.

Sure, sure. Let's have low numbers even when it's really fucking hot outside!

Lots of sense, that metric system.

Actually based on the scientific measurment, that measures by Kalvins. 1 degree Celsius and one degree Kalvin are the same amount. Celsius was simplified a little though... 0 celsius is freezing, 100 celsius is boiling.

Now, for distance.. Simple:
10 millimeters in a centimeter
100 centimeters in a metre
1000 metres in a kilometer

I dont know many americans that can even tell me how many feet are in a mile :P

(useless stuff, i know, but it IS easier)

1 mile = 5,280 feet

8 eights of an inch in an inch.
12 inches in a foot (or 36 in a yard)
63360 inches in a mile.

Metric is still easier. You cant deny that. For yours, you need to go through a couple calculations, and blah blah blah. You wanna know millimetres are in a kilometre (why the hell you would want to, i dunno,) It's simply

1 X 1000000

hehehe. :P

How many Apostles? 10? No. There were 12 (and eventually 15, but whatever). God hates the metric system, what can you say.

Also, I'm reasonably sure Celsius was before Kelvin, as it's more likely for the earlier system to be based on water's behavior (easily observable) than absolute zero (much harder to observe). I could be wrong about this.

God still hates Canada though. :D

Eh, this winter's pretty much blown. Not much snow but January near to froze my balls off.

Then again we get a lot of snow in New England, but I spent time around Buffalo. NOwhere gets shit like the lake shore. It's frigging unbelievable what they get.

Metric system is by far superior.

The ending snowfall count, 95 cm.

For all you USers that is..........38 inches? Something like that.

My hubby is now trying to shovel us out...starting with the 2 meter drift in front of our door.

Then there is the bank at the road. Shoulder height to my 6'2 hubs. Wish us luck.
