That was capped regyy casting on capped me.
I don't know what my myklian scale armor was doing, it also has puncture resistance but I was never struck in the torso. Maybe it stacks afterall?

some ebon leather leg greaves with blackened vultite spikes - mb 2m (spiked)
If you hunt something that spike thorns can you afford not to wear these?
