I also found this when I examined it this morning:
Inset into the hilt of the khopesh, in an elaborate pattern, are glittering faceted black moonstones. Masterfully detailed and set, it is obvious that only the finest of gems were selected. Expertly cut facets gleam with even the smallest hint of light, creating a spectrum of color across the hilt.

No, I am not sure - here's the loresong:

purpose:
You sense a faint aura of magic around the jet vultite morning-star. From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the morning-star is as some type of weapon.

magic:
It has a bonus of +20 from a normal morning-star, and the way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it requires skill in blunt weapons to use effectively. It also has some type of special ability, but you can't tell what yet.

special ability:
The harmonics generated tell you that the morning-star does extra damage when it strikes.

inspect:
After a careful inspection you determine that a triple-headed jet vultite morning-star requires skill in blunt weapons to use effectively. It appears to be a modified morning star.
It looks like this item has been mainly crafted out of vultite.

appraise:
Careful examination indicates the jet vultite morning-star has a base strength of 75 and a base durability of 185. You also determine the current integrity of the jet vultite morning-star to be at 100.0%.

That's all I know, no idea where I got the two-handed information from to be honest.
