Team Sarah, a social networking site of nearly 70,000 of Gov. Sarah Palin's supporters, is hoping its members have a shot at derailing the nomination of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius as the president's Health and Human Services secretary.
The site, which came into being to support the Alaska governor during her 2008 vice-presidential bid, bills itself as being "dedicated to advancing the values that Sarah Palin represents in the political process." Team Sarah is affiliated with the Susan B. Anthony List, which seeks to elect women who oppose abortion.
Today, the website sent out an action alert to its members, asking them to call the office of Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kansas, and urge him to vote against Sebelius' confirmation.

Republican Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma, who opposes abortion, said he would vote against Sebelius. He singled out her veto last week of a bill in Kansas that would have placed new oversight over abortion providers.
"I think there’s a flaw there, a critical defect in this nominee,’’ he said. "That’s a nonstarter with me, not because I dislike her. I think she’s a wonderful lady, but I think she lacks part of the moral clarity that is required to lead this nation into the future. Her ability from the start will be compromised by her position on this issue.
"I have no doubt that she will be approved today, so I mark it as another sign on our way to oblivion as a nation."

This what all of you voted for.. a president who appoints someone who opposes abortion regulation. Abortion is probably the only thing that the Democrats won't regulate. They're using the Mexican Swine Flu as an excuse to rush through the Sebelius nomination.
