Memory Error

Anytime I try to search the forum or upload a picture I get this error message.


Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /home/gsplayer/public_html/forum/search.php on line 1062

I think someone said they lowered the number of posts per page and it fixed that.

I've got it on 10 now and it gives me that message. Do I really need to go lower than that?

No that must not be it. They were changing it from like 200 down to 50. I dunno then. :(

Yeah, I had mine at like 100 or 200 posts per page and couldn't open the long threads anymore. I bumped it down to get rid of that. But the search function is wonky with the same kind of error. I think it's trying to sift through too much data.

I had that problem and I cleared out my "attachments" and it worked fine but then all the pictures I posted were gone. Since then I have accumulated many more pictures and I am back at that same error message. I only get that error message if I try to upload from a website, if I am uploading from my PC then I get no error message. Maybe you can save the pic to your hard drive and try that? :shrug:

Why do you upload? Why not just insert the image?

I got that just a few minutes ago when trying to change my avatar. I just wanted to change it back to the old one I had for forever, and it's still hosted on my school site - same as it was for like 2 years heh.

This has a kinda appropriate heading....

When open the home page and sign in and click "Remember Me" it never does...

When I close and re-open the page it won't log me in automatically. I have to put in atleast D and Drisco comes up underneath and I click on it and my password goes in automatically and everything but it won't keep me logged in all the time.

I'm using fire fox if that means anything.
