this isn't an auction, I was more looking for an absurdly high price and/or trade for it.

5m makes me a sad panda

Join the #CCF channel during the next run, and wave it in people's faces during the basic weighting service.

I was about to buy a 7x eahnor mattock for 9m just to get it weighted, but I didn't think I could contact the seller (sorry wizgem3) before it was too late.

A lot of people that win the services won't have something amazing to put it on, but if they could buy something amazing on the spot, adding the weighting is really cheap (1m for 5x, 1.2m for 7x) So a 5x perfect maul might fetch a good amount at the right time, but people won't pay too much extra until they know they have the weighting slot!

me not being on-line missed this getting ECW

If you're talking about the "Exceptional Weapon Weighting" service at CCF, it wouldn't add ECW to the weapon. It adds a "fair amount" to any weapon with crit weighting on it currently...

So like, a HCW would go to VHCW.

They later changed the name of the service to "Extraordinary Weapon Weighting" because they didn't forsee any confusion, heh.

Where does Fair/fairly rank? Better than somewhat and less than decent?

In order of descending magnitude:
wondrous
incredible
fantastic <-- standard claidhmores
phenomenal
expert
superb
masterful
exceptional
very heavy
heavy <--- standard katanas
decent
somewhat
light
no padding/weighting <-- This is the baseline
slightly diminished
somewhat diminished
noticeably diminished
substantially diminished

Sorry for the hijack. If some of my stuff sells I might buy this for an inflated price.

Fair comes after light.

Lightly...................1-2

Fairly.....................3-4

Somewhat............5-6

Decent.................7-8

Heavy.................9-11

Thanks Farmer. Now this makes sense why my friend told me Paul paid tons to put VHCW on some already HCP armor. It just adds to it.

Not quite.

It only adds to weighting, padding is different.

Extraordinary padding service
The services for very heavily padded damage padding and very heavily padded critical padding are considered to be major wins. Only one major service can be won by each individual during each event run. These are exceptionally limited services. Only 1-2 slots for each will be given out for each run. A significant silver cost is attached to these services. The limit of +40 still applies to exceptional wins. Armor with non-fluff scripts will need to be reviewed to see if they are eligible for the service. Armor with existing padding may be used, but the total padding will not exceed very heavily padded for either type of padding.

what is the deal with all the 'make an offer' 'flat priced sales/auctions' ? they just don't make sense to me. if your taking offers, its an auction!

Auctions have rules, really. You need to accept a bid, make updates, re-bumped a thread, set an end time of some kind or keep updating. Some times you just want someone to make a buyout offer. Not listing a price means if someone overshoots your expectations, you'll be happy. If you're overestimating demand and put an absurd price, you won't get laughed at by posting it.

Yeah, that's big time wrong.

"Taking offers" is not even close to an auction. An auction starts at a fixed price and either does or does not have a reserve price. Bids are taken, etc.

Saying "Tell me what you are willing to pay, and if I like it, I'll take it" is not an auction.

(It's not really a flat price sale either, but we don't have a "convince me to sell" forum).

It was worth it for what it is. Couldn't get that normally.

Yeah VHCP MBP that can cast Camo is pretty badass for a rogue. I know I'm jealous.

A "convince me to sell" folder?

It would be nice if we had one though. I often don't know how to price things and prefer the method of ... if you want this, make an offer and if it sounds good it's yours.

A "convince me to sell" folder?

Or a, "I know people will want this if they win something at CCF and I can fall back to one of my other 2 perfect mauls" sale

also on that note
I have a 4x perfect maul
+17 perfect maul
imflass temp VHCW maul (persists)
5x regular maul
4x vultite maul with +5 dex (persists)

I'd be willing to trade these for some enhansives. Str, wis, agi, THW would be preferred.

I'm always available on AIM

What the hell does 'temp VHCW [persists]' mean?

Is it temporary or permanent?

WRoss

the maul has temporary very heavy crit weighting, it will persist after the crit weighting goes away

I think its stating the obvious that the Maul will persist when the VHCW runs out. I thought the same thing though.

I'm pretty sure no weapon crumbles after it's enhancives dry up, excepting drake/feras weapons.
