Politics aside for a moment, Tom Morello knows how to get a show going. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qd1ahkdCnRY&feature=PlayList&p=6BE2B19760D1EC6A&index=0&playnext=1) Start at 1:25. Imagine the anticipation, and then imagine the energy 2:25 when the beat finally drops and the auditorium erupts.
I wish I had been born about 4 years earlier and been able to see them live more often. Simply genius.
Word to RAtM being God.
Tom was fucking shit in Audioslave though. I saw them live enough and even some massive, massive important gigs and he seemed energy-less.

I only got the see them once, unfortunately.
edit: One of the reasons I liked listening to their live recordings is the vocal quality is similar to their studio stuff, granted with a loose/free component. All too frequently, especially nowadays, what you hear in a concert is so bad it's amazing they got a contract in the first place. They seem like they should be getting laughed at in American Idol instead of recording a CD.

I'm sure Tom feeds off of Zack.
Unfortunately, there is no one that inspires Zack. Hence, no more Rage (except for the random "we need money and will acquiesce to entertaining middle class white kids if you pay us enough" gig).

Rage does indeed rock the house.

Seen them before and after the split, and in Audioslave (otherwise known as Rage against the Garden). They're still awesome today as they were years ago, so I don't know why people are talking like they're dead as a band.
This was from my mates camera last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sb-EZEO5FK8
Of all the gig's I've ever been to this one went so quick. Two hours seemed like 20 minutes.

I've seen 'em a few times. Rage is one of my favorites.
When they played in New Haven they had to sign papers that promised the police they wouldn't play "Fuck the Police".
I was supposed to see their last show the first time they broke up, first row tickets. Then one of the jerks from the Beastie Boys fell off his bike and broke his leg...and they canceled the whole show. Bastards.
The videos from the Democratic convention are pretty nuts too.

I was bored by the .53 mark.
Frenzy fail.

So this is going to become the "Keller is obsessed with Rage" thread.
First, Zack de la Rocha has a new solo project called One Day as a Lion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mKtt7F0rPU)
Next, Zack and Tom play at a fundraiser at the House of Blues in Chicago. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eau3b940Xy0&feature=related). And they play Bulls on Parade, too. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_9ISVPBfFY&feature=related)
