Side by Side

I've done some testing with ranks 1 and 2 of side by side and the math doesn't seem to make sense. In fact, 2 characters with equal ranks of side by side receive different benefits from the skill. Anyone familiar with side by side and can fill me in on what I'm missing? Does it make a difference what class you are? Or level? Or CM training?

I would imagine CM training, stat levels, etc all factor in. That skill has always been weird. Wish I could use it. Oscuro was just made Rogue Guru, and is very forthcoming about information. You should post your request for factors of the Maneuver on the officials.
