I haven't personally used them before but my sis and bro in law did and had no issues. That and I see them being used in nice neighborhoods down to construction sites EVERYWHERE around here.
Prolly a good sign.

My sister used one for a few months. No complaints.
My only complaint is no plumbing or electricity. Otherwise, its an awesome portable bachelor pad.

Carrying 400 pound refrigerators on your back to impress the ladies is the way to go. Ladies love guys in the hospital with hernias.
Why not U-Haul?

Because most people who use PODs are not actually moving. At least that I've noticed. They use them for temporary storage while construction/remodeling goes on. In some instances they are used to move, sure, but they tend to be longer term when folks need to store stuff for longer than just the move itself.
Anyway...yes, I've heard good things about PODs but have never used one myself.
