"You have 3 ranks in the Lock Mastery skill.
You need 56 training points to earn your next rank.
The Training Administrator told you to visit a master footpad for a talk.
You have 5 repetitions remaining to complete this task."

I have to use LMaster sense to determine the surroundings and tell the feckin footpad what trap I could get...so what exactly does he want me to tell him? I've tried everything form copying and pasting the descriptions of the traps, to simply copying the description I get from sensing, and...nothing. some help here would be awesome :nono:

It's been a long long time since i've done this, but I think it's just typing out the type of lock. Like "tricky" or "easy", etc.

Buchara says, "Nope...close, but you'd struggle for a long time before blowing yourself to bits. Try sensing again."

well, that definitely didn't work

You're pasting what you're supposed to paste. You're just not getting a good enough read I think. Keep lm sensing until he accepts it.

Sense sucks... but wait til you get component reps, then you'll want to kill yourself...

Mmm, component reps...making picking contests (x13) look good, one crystal trap at a time.

Ugh no way. Picking contests have got to be the most painful waste of time i've encountered yet in GS.

I prayed for picking contests during component reps. I blew through my stockpile quite quickly.

I don't really like scripting that sort of stuff. I just used macros.

And not me, I had boxes left over after I was done with components. Those were the easiest out of all the box tasks because I had a shitton saved up.

Well at the least you've got some control over it. It's not like the stunman arrow dodging or hand-slapping tasks. Those are random, aren't they? It's a glorified version of "guess what number I'm thinking of."

Things like that require automation. I couldn't imagine doing those things manually more than the once it takes to figure out the required match strings. Shouldn't take more than 100 lines to write a script that will complete all reps. My philosophy is that if it wastes time, I'd better not let it waste my effort during that time.

Who's that trip-trapping on my bridge.
Edited for clarification.
