What types of items are you looking for?

I'm thinking I will do Armor across all AsG's, Shields, All weapon types, enhancives, and Premium points. If I see a lot of certain fluff items (kittens, Sand Elementals, etc) I may place those up as well. I think I am going to avoid character sales.

This thread is crazy ambitious and anyone making a post should also make note of the environment of the sales landscape as well. Anything selling right now with the potential to be upgraded at CCF has a slightly higher price just due to the potential of being improved. Fel hafters, FGB, 5x-7x bows all seem to be scarce and higher priced right now.

Sales of fixskill potions will probably have lower prices because the annual one is popping up in a month.

Indeed. This thread is something for me to do, and at best a very vague idea of relative prices of items. As you noted, prices do fluctuate, and people will sometimes sell things for cheap, and for crazy amounts.

Whenever an item sells I will put it up as a new entry with a new date, even if it is the same item (I.E Sorrow). Unless something sells en mass (I.E COL Bracers) I likely wont make a separate category.

Breaking it up each category into scrollable tables would be a nice touch. Stops you from having to scroll down through the categories you don't need.

Putting each category into a quote wouldn't hurt too.

Great idea and thanks for undertaking it. I will certainly refer to it in the future. A couple pieces of advice...

1) There is a lot of great info you can add and track, but it's more important that you keep the project going and updated, even if it's with barebones info. If you get too ambitious you may be more likely to give up altogether which would be worse.

2) Not sure if you're doing this already but I would sort alphabetically within each category and then by date. That way identical items will be grouped together and you can track their prices over time. Sorting by date first doesn't mean much since you're constantly going back and forth between shitty items and great items.

3) Making each weapon base (falchion, handaxe etc) its own category would be a great next step, but again not necessary (see point 1)

I quit about 3-4 months ago, but said I would be back for EG's sweet, sweet auction goodness. I'm playing for a month, then back on break come November. No idea when I will reactivate after that, as i'm waiting on the sorcery review. I HAVE been enjoying the time i've spent IG of late, but it gets old fast. Maybe I will get another nifty sorcery toy and stick around, but likely not. That fat bastard Virilneus has deep pockets.

Either way, that doesn't really effect me updating this page, except that it makes the official boards..especially the merchant folder a pain to read, so I would only be updating stuff from the PC sales. About 75% of sales worth mentioning are X-posted anyway. Most merchants aren't stuck up, elitist assholes who only post on the officials.
