So... admittedly rather new to the forging process, and this is my first undertaking with Vultite. Normally I get a perfect attempt at a blade about one out of every 12 or 13 tries. I'm giving Vultite a go now, on commission, and so far (GOD it's slow) I've gotten 19 satisfactory, and not one Very Best. Now, then... I'm still using a Superior Hammer (After 16 attempts to make a perfect one of THOSE).

Is Vultite just harder to get a perfect attempt? Am I just getting unlucky? Or does a 'perfect' hammer come MORE into play when trying the higher enchant metals?

Dude. Variance is a bitch but make a perfect hammer. You will thank yourself in the long run. If there is some sort of modifier that makes magic metals tougher it's not by a noticeable amount. At least not with the basic magic metals. I haven't worked much with the rarer ones.

They keep insisting that magical metals aren't harder to make perfect. But my experience is like yours, vultite sucks for perfect. The rate is far less than other metals.
