Ok, I built an IRC chat room on Mibbit.

http://embed.mibbit.com/

Go and sign up...

http://wiki.mibbit.com/index.php/NICK

Register your nickname...

Then /join #ccf

type /msg NickServ IDENTIFY <yourpassword>

Should be painless!

For those of you who use irc cilents.. this uses the irc.mibbit.net server.

How do I get IRC to show up on trillian? When I go to create a new connection, I only have AIM and ICQ as option, and nothing else.

i can confirm that /join #ccf works.

and there isnt an actual sign up page. you sign up using the / commands, check your email for the passcode, and finish registration with / commands.

Once you've joined CCF, how do you close the other chat? The tab doesn't get a little x to close it like the CCF one does.

That link will take you directly to the CCF chat, and you wont' have to close the main chat.

heh, the mob I'd stir up... thankfully my site is really kind of like play.net, if my site goes down you just wouldn't be able to "log back in" but if you had the window open to the link on my site, it would stay open/up.


Chat seems to boot you after a while. Is there an inactivity setting?
I haven't had an issue with this, and I've left it alone for a good while. They rebooted the mibbit server a few minutes ago.

Of course mi'amigo, looks pretty stable as hell, was in it 15 hours.

Easy to use, you don't even *need* to register, but keeps your nick saved that way.

If you're going to CCF and aren't in this chat, you're doing it wrong.
