Unless Eugenides is awesome and writes a detailed synopsis of events which have taken place there this past few storylines. NOTE: IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT STORYLINES/SOLHAVEN, DON'T BOTHER TO READ.

This is my attempt at a full story summary. Information will be missing, or there will be misinformation due to a general lack of posting on the boards, and a three month LoA on my part. It will be missing specifics as there is a lot of information involved in the entirety of the storyline. But, if anyone wants to expand on a certain part, or if anyone has questions about a certain part... expand or ask away.

An NPC labeled as "The Hag" appears in Solhaven and begins to go about causing mischief. Her mischief involves fish, rotting fish, fish-men, rotting fish-men, and a general spectral fishiness. She is your typical NPC, all wrapped up in robes so as not to be able to clearly be seen. She has a general, "I'm a woman of the water" appearance to her.
Eugenides, Rimalon, and Raelee have a discussion in Fash'lo'nae's garden one night, when The Hag arrives to cause more mischief. Eugenides begins to phase in and out of the garden, and takes a magical journey around the world while Rimalon's cat, Triss, changes colors and does other... nonsensical stuff.
The first journey Eugenides takes like this, and the two afterwards (at a later time) involve enigmatic symbols, metaphors, "important locations", and general lines of prophecy as spoke by a voice in his head. The Hag then pulls Eugenides off to the side after his first journey is done, calls him pretty, and they both decided that pie is good.
It is believed that this ability of spacial travel and the prophetic voice are a curse/hex, and it has been stated as such by various NPCs. It is also believed that this curse/hex was supposed to have been placed on Raelee. But, Eugenides intercepted it due to his stupidity, and The Hag's inability to focus.
The Hag makes a few more appearances, where she speaks about lost jewels (that are white like opals), and a lost kingdom, but at that point, any sort of interpretation was mere speculation.
Eugenides spouts off all of his prophecy, verbatim, to the citizens of Solhaven. Some try to speculate what it means as well, while the vast majority dismiss him as being a raving madman. He cries himself to sleep.
Enter Paidreg Venquinor, the new Provost of Solhaven, a young noble with big plans. He dumps his family fortune into erecting new temples within the city (as foreseen by Eugenides, who is still dismissed as being mad), and even builds himself a nice little home near the Vornavian wall.
Enter the elementals. Portals appear in Solhaven, and begin to spit out lesser, mindless beings from the elemental plane of water. The general feeling of "Uh oh" is arisen amongst the populace as the beings that spill out become more powerful over time. This is the beginning of the core of the stoyline.
Two new NPCs are introduced at this time as well. Roame, a Huntsman (who some believe to be an earth elemental in reality), and Mirke, Paidreg's go to Rogue. Roame erects a tree in front of both of the portals in an attempt to stem the tide of the beings that are pouring out. And it sort of works for a while. Roame is the first to suggest that Eugenides is cursed, and that the curse wasn't for him. Mirke doesn't really come into play until later.
After the introduction of the portals and the NPCs, it is hinted that there is some greater force behind the elementals that is pulling the strings. Some of the titans that spill forth from the portals try to speak before they smash. Unfortunately, militia groups and over half the populace decide to smash before they listen. Eventually, however, the full message is realized. "We are learning."
All the while, Eugenides is spouting off prophecy. This is going to happen. That is going to happen. He said, she said. But, he's not the only one. Two other people receive visions from different sources. One person received a vision from Jastev about the arrival of Maieva, and NPC from another storyline whom had ties to a few characters in Solhaven at that time.
Apparently, Maieva offered her aid in the future, if these individuals needed it. This was also fortold to Eugenides by a magical, talking chest. But, of course, which is more believable -- JASTEV or a magical, talking chest from some backroom in the Landing?
Another portent involving the death of Paidreg, the new Provost is seen by both Eugenides and another individual. I apologize for failing to remember the names of those other two people who saw things. It was a long time ago, and I don't have my notes on hand.
Maieva kills stuff. Roame kills stuff. Mirke kills stuff. Paidreg kills stuff. Milita groups kill stuff. Solhaven citizens kill stuff. Eugenides walks around the city drinking a glass of water and dies from time to time. All is well in invasion land.
One evening, a humanoid figure slips out of one of the portals and attempts to communicate on a higher level. The goody-goodies are more willing to believe in this thing than the monstrous titans, and open their arms with love and joy despite the frantic screaming of Eugenides not to. In the name of understanding, Aydan invites the watery being into himself, and this, really, is where the degradation of events begins.

Over the next few days, many slug-like watery beings creep around Solhaven, trying to force their way into people's heads via the ear canal. It is found out that they have a strong aversion to salt, and a good number of people attempt to protect themselves with it as much as possible. But, for some reason, over half the populace dismissively wave their hands about, proclaiming events as not important, fictitious, or the ravings of a mad man.
As a result, only three people end up with permanent brain slugs. Aydan, Misun, and Rimalon. Thanks to the vigilance of Eugenides, and those who believed in the danger of the situation, the rest were destroyed with much head exploding, salting, and fire flinging. Even the Provost, Paidreg was attacked by these nefarious mind burrowers.
Roame sacrifices himself to destroy the portals. And the invasions cease for the most part. Now begins the era of subversion, as three citizens have the enemy within (and more yet, in Vornavis... in fact, a lot is happening in Vornavis concerning brain invasion and the like).

The disk is able to tell who is infected with a brain slug. Paidreg hides the disk so that the elementals can not find it, waiting for the right moment to use it. The Hall of Mages also provide magical wards for his home.
It is learned (at some point), that this event is similar to one in the past. It seems that long ago, there was a group of individuals who worshiped "the shadow in the water" as their deity/master. It is assumed that "the shadow in the water" means the KRAKEN! And it is also said that the Kraken waved their tentacles and arms about and destroyed most of these individuals. The ones who escaped or were saved became what are known as "the ascendants." Squid-like people with lots of power who now, at this point, appear and do bad things to people. They also want the disk.
Paidreg gets kidnapped by the elementals and goes missing for a long period of time. No one can get into his home, because the wards provided by the Hall of Mages are too powerful for normal people to destroy! The citizens of Solhaven want to find the disk, but can't. The goody-goodies are worried about Paidreg, and the thinkers are trying to develop plans within plans to secure the disk.
Eventually, most agree that Paidreg's home should be broken into, and it is left up to Raelee to figure out how to destroy the wards. Everyone thinks it's complicated, so Eugenides whips out a sizable amount of kroderine, gives it to Raelee, and she disarms the wards with the kroderine at the cost of her life (due to energy feedback). People scour the house for "the disk," and it is not found. An ascendant arrives and demands the disk, notes that it is not there, and makes the people who antagonize it suffer.
Mirke elects to tell the citizens of Solhaven that he has a ring that is attuned to Paidreg, and that it says he's fine. Maeiva is called upon once again to help. A complicated magical ritual is performed, and, using the ring, Maieva summons a naked, hungry, and shivering Paidreg to all of those gathered. He stayed alive by using more from his Hall of Mages Bag-O-Tricks.
Paidreg reveals that there are hojillions of slugs beneath the city, and that they will destroy us all. Somehow or other, it is decided that it is time to reveal and use "the disk" (which was located in the shiny new temple of Koar).My information starts to get sketchy here, because there really isn't much board posting of it, at all, during this time. Anyway.
I guess one evening, things were happening to almost everyone else but Eugenides which led a good number of the citizens of Solhaven to "the disk." While things happened at the disk with these people (I still don't exactly know), Eugenides was attacked by brains slugs. They got into his head and stole a lot of information, to the point of sounding worried. He died a horrible death, and no one cared.
Afterwards, he made his way into the room with the disk, and it made a strange noise upon his arrival. But, I guess... it had been making strange noises all before that. He tried to make everyone feel guilty, but they didn't. And that was the end of that. There is a break as EG rolls around. The lull continues for a bit after EG has passed, and I take my unexpected LoA.
Insert three months of missing information here. (All I've managed to gather is that there were some Gnomes, and earth elementals, and a tower that reached beyond the sky. Paidreg used some sort of device to blow up water elementals. Rimalon and Misun transformed into monsters, but... not completely. Another portal opened, one that's bigger)
I come back from my LoA.
Eugenides begins to phase in and out of Solhaven again. His voice tells him that "We are back." Eugenides tries his hardest to find out what happened while he was revisiting places he had never been to. He's offered some very general information about Gnomes and towers, Paidreg's using the object to go boom, and people transforming (Thank you Meureii).
A second version of himself appears soon after and asks if certain events have happened, specifically, if he had been there for the use of the device. When present Eugenides says that he wasn't there, Future Eugenides gets irritated and accuses him of ruining his past. They quarrel until future Eugenides gets so disgusted that he immolates himself.
Paidreg makes an appearance later, and says that things are not so well in Vornavis. There are exploding heads and immolation within the ranks. Many nobles have been sent into solitude for having been transformed and speaking in tongues. He's taken up drinking.
Athresco arrives. He is an individual who makes use of the blood beneath Solhaven, and the citizens of Solhaven to entertain himself. The goody-goodies do not like him, but ironically try to make a deal with him later for aid against the elementals. Eugenides tries to help Farn buy one of Athresco's constructs.
Athresco gets bored and leaves Solhaven because the people there are just plain ridiculous. He's not key to the elemental storyline, but it was nice that he came around to ease the boredom of the main storyline lull, and the lack of post Tower hunting.
The Luukosians are apparently doing something in the town. Sacrifices or the like. Ronan got angry, and decided to send an avatar to spout some religious gibberish to the goody-goodies about what was up, and how it should be. The goody-goodies did give a rousing cry of rally, and are now banded together to fight the Luukosian threat.
Anyway, odd thing now have people glancing at Eugenides any time they happen, as he appears to always be the cause of it. Alack and alas, he's just coincidentally in the right places at the right time. It probably doesn't help that he attempts to convince people that he's the cause to ease his boredom.
This new religious war is not key to the elemental storyline, but it is/will be nice that it came around to ease the boredom of the main storyline lull, and the lack of post Tower hunting.
