...is the most boring shit ever..., especially trieng to work out the damn bugs to make all the data sync with the information programmed into the smart terminal from the remote control the user is using...

Could be worse, you could be setting up, fixing, syncing, and doing basic maintence on Ipaq's, palms, and every other hand held under the sun for a bunch of doctors and PHD's who don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. How can someoen so educated be so clueless to things? I'm not talking computers only, I'm talking life in general. These people would die without their admin assistants and tech people and they are supposed to be curing cancer.....

Well Curing cancer is a bit different then coding and pc/server setup. Doesnt take much to learn PC's though but they are living in a different Era then us. Like i do Tech support for peeps on the phone. i rather talk to a 9 year old then talk to some 40-50 year old any day of the week. Most kids no there stuff. and them older peeps are clueless.
Cox tech support, your friend in the digital age. :P (manager btw)

Update, these people are still stupid, well that's too harsh let's say inept. These people are inept. They all want the latest and greatest techno-gadgets but don't know how to use them to anything resembling their full potential. Seriously, why does someone need a 3.2g P4 with a 80g HDD, 1g or RAM, and a DVD-RW just to check their damnable lotus notes?!

So you find patterns.. is it like the Gemstone/text version of Simon?

Well, we are setting up new terminals for the TV's for the hotel, but the data that is being sent from the remote control is not being sync'd properly with the data on the chip, so we just get batches of hex code, and we were going through them to find the patters in each button for the remote control, what i posted above was the cleard up patters i have, otherwise it looks like this...
FF 83 40 B3 43 83 83 DB FF FF FF 83 40 B3 43 83 83 DB FF FF FF 83 40 B3 43 83 83 DB FF FF FF 83 40 B3 43 83 83 DB FF FF FF 83 40 B3 43 83 83 DB
Now that strip of hex code is easy to find the pattern in, because its been massively debugged from its original format, if you saw the original...man that was a bitch to work with...
