As a warrior who doesn't take a lot of serious hits (other than CS spells), I'm curious as to which of the warrior effects you'd most like to get from a warrior.

Skill Name: Slash Protection
Mnemonic: slash
Other Requirements: Specialized armor fittings (available at your local Warrior Guild workshop) are required. There are five quality tiers of fittings: common (useable at Rank 1), sturdy (Rank 2), fine (Rank 3), superb (Rank 4), and masterwork (Rank 5). If the armor is flared or provides a bonus to AS or TD, it requires sturdy fittings or better. If the armor being adjusted is padded, the quality of the fittings required is:

Common: May not be used with padded armor.
Sturdy: May be used with up to fairly padded armor.
Fine: May be used with up to decently padded armor.
Superb: May be used with up to very heavily padded armor.
Masterwork: No limit on level of padding.

Available to: Warriors.
Prerequisites:
None
Armor Point Cost:
Rank 1: 20
Rank 2: 30
Rank 3: 40
Rank 4: 50
Rank 5: 60
Description: Adjusts a person's armor so that it is more resistant to slashing attacks.

The base strength of the damage resistance is equal to (Fitting Tier * 10), with common fittings having a value of 1 and masterwork fittings having a value of 5. If the armor is flared or provides a bonus to AS/TD, there is a -10 penalty to the resistance strength. If the armor is padded, there is a penalty of -5 per ASSESS level to a maximum penalty of -40.

The number of slashing hits that can be taken before the resistance wears off is equal to ((Fitting Tier * 10) + (Armor Use Skill / 10)).

Skill Name: Crush Protection
Mnemonic: crush
Other Requirements: Specialized armor fittings (available at your local Warrior Guild workshop) are required. There are five quality tiers of fittings: common (useable at Rank 1), sturdy (Rank 2), fine (Rank 3), superb (Rank 4), and masterwork (Rank 5). Masterwork: No limit on level of padding.

Available to: Warriors.
Prerequisites:
None
Armor Point Cost:
Rank 1: 20
Rank 2: 30
Rank 3: 40
Rank 4: 50
Rank 5: 60
Description: Adjusts a person's armor so that it is more resistant to crushing attacks.

The number of crushing hits that can be taken before the resistance wears off is equal to ((Fitting Tier * 10) + (Armor Use Skill / 10)).

Skill Name: Puncture Protection
Mnemonic: puncture

Rank 2: 25
Rank 3: 30
Rank 4: 35
Rank 5: 40
Description: Adjusts a person's armor so that it better supports the weight of their gear. Reduces encumbrance by a number of pounds equal to 5 + ((Armor Group + 1) * Rank).

Skill Name: Armor Reinforcement
Mnemonic: reinforcement

Armor Point Cost:
Rank 1: 20
Rank 2: 30

Puncture resistance is good for Temple hunters.

I want something that will protect me against major ewaves and voids. That is all.

I'd say crush resist would be great for anyone who huts Illoke.

I'm leaning towards crush myself, since most puncture weapons suck against plate to begin with, and slash crits are probably the least feared of the three. I might concentrate on the reinforcement first though. I almost never get more than a minor, but that might change if I decide to start warcamping.

You're right, I mean, what the hell can a lance do against plate anwyays?

Hmm... Point taken. (no pun intended)

Not sure what is best for OTF.

Falchions (blades) Slash/Pierce
Handaxes Slash/Crush
Maces Crush
Pitch fork (trident) Pierce/slash
Longswords Slash/pierce
Constructs Impact and/or crush
Griffins N/A pierce? Slash?

It's all over the place, but I guess slash is the most commonly faced attack.

Puncture resistance is so clutch for Nelemar hunters it's not even funny. Between all the tridents, arrows and charges, it's almost worth using unpadded armor just to get the 50% puncture resistance. I'm definitely psyched to have 1 friend with 5 ranks of puncture resist and another who will have 5 ranks of fluidity.

Looks like Puncture and Armor Support win. Does anyone know if Armor Support benefits are subject to racial size modifiers?

I dunno.

I'm thinking about limb stun times and my brain is farting loudly. Whichever one has the lowest stun time total for limb hits; for one-round, or maybe two-round stuns (since limbs = six places.) Someone will do the math. If I get a death-crit from a weapon, that's my fault as an upper-trained Warrior.

Edit: Sometimes you can't/don't feel like/just don't zerk.

Weight has never been a real issue with me, so I don't have a real need for Support. I'm going with Reinforcement for a while to see if it keeps the little hits from stacking up on a noticeable level.

Will most likely go with Puncture as well, more to hand out as a freebie to fellow Nelemar folks while sitting at the statue than anything else.
