Dungeons and Dragons Online. Has anyone played this game before? And how long does it take to cap, which I believe is level 16?
Oh, has anyone also heard of WOTC's new computer program the 'virtual' gaming table?
DMs can create campaigns online and run them online with online miniatures/mats, dice rolling simulators, and even sounds and other goodies that can only be done computer. With the right voicing technology I think this is the future of traditional 'tabletop' D&D. Especially, since they will be providing servers for people to scavenge and find games and DMs,online vaults to store characters in, and editing tools to craft your own visual image of monsters etc.
It costs 5 bucks a month but if they play this out right maybe make the miniatures animated and the battles more real. They could really give MMOs a run for their money or at least open up a whole new market to traditional RPGing.
