Well - had a BO offer that I could not resist. So, those boots are sold - BUT, I scrounged up another un-altered pair of these boots - so the people that were bidding may still do so. I removed the buyout from this auction to be fair to the people who have bid - the previous BO was not one of these bidders. This is my *last* un-altered pair. Good luck!

Had a few people interested in:

You remove some large eel skin boots from in your black leather jacket.
>empty loot into boot
You try to empty the contents of your loot-sack into your boots, but you fill up the boots with 70 items, leaving the rest in the loot-sack.
Roundtime: 14 sec.

>look in boot

>inspect boot
You carefully inspect your eel skin boots.

You estimate that some large eel skin boots can store a small amount with enough space for any number of items.

You determine that you could wear the boots on your feet. The boots appears to serve some purpose.

Weigh 5 - don't close - (well you can't steal from boots anyway) - I got a pair of these further deepened awhile ago - don't know if you still can (prolly not) - <those aren't for sale>

Gems not included! ;)

CB 3m - TK837 SOLD!

That's strange, 70 gems = 35 pounds which should inspect as medium amount.

I'm not complaining as they're super huge boots but .. weird.

Gems are 0.1lbs and not half pound each.

can they be deepened still, with todays restrictions?

inspect boot
You carefully inspect your black stalking boots.

You estimate that some shadow black stalking boots can store a small amount with enough space for any number of items.

You determine that you could wear the boots on your feet. The boots appears to serve some purpose.

You remember that you registered this item between four and five years ago.

Hmm - no clue - as you can see mine were done awhile ago. They are pretty handy as the flexibility is great. I've had the pair I wear worked on (deepened) added open/close and some scripts:

>pull boot
You reach down and unbutton your black stalking boots.
>rem boot
You take some shadow black stalking boots off your feet.
>shake boot
You flip your black stalking boots over and shake the sand out of them.
>wear boot
>You put some shadow black stalking boots onto your feet.
>touch boot
You reach down and button your black stalking boots.
>close boot
You close some shadow black stalking boots.
>open boot
You open some shadow black stalking boots.
>get katan
You remove a jade-hilted eahnor katana from in your black stalking boots. (heh!)

If you handed a merchant these boots you would be lucky to get them back un-nerfed all to fuck. Keep them out of a GM's hands.

I altered an eel skin hat at this past winterfest, or maybe EG- either or and they didn't fuck it up.

edit: I've also recently altered 2 pairs of MA any number pants with no issue.

If the Crystal & Gem bags were tagged as okay, I'd think some small amount boots would be alright.

I've heard horror stories. I think it is more like if the GM fucks up and changes the size they wont fix it because it was technically broken in the first place. That being said, if they CAN be altered I think that helps the value considerably.

I would bid myself but I have armor on my feet. Awesome item.

I think you'd be okay getting them altered - I'm not sure they would deepen them any further nowadays.

(Though you may wanna have the item completely filled when you hand it to a merchant - so they know, *you know*. ;)

Gems are 0.1lbs and not half pound each.

From my experience not all gems are the same size/weight in my experience. I can hold a lot more gems in my pouch in EN than I can in the rift for some reason.

You could store a bunch in those galoshes from way back whenever.

I guess crystal & gem sacks still hold a metric shit-ton by comparison, though.

I also hazard a guess that if you put a lot of gems like that inside your shoes, it would be uncomfortable walking around. But people wouldn't want to ninja your shit because of the foot stank.

I thought gems were 1/16th of a pound. I'm thinking Sean has the right of it, though. I know atleast a few items that sell as gems that are damn heavy.

Point granted but most gems are really, really light. I haven't gone to the rift ever but from what I remember urglaes fangs are like 2lbs each.

My gem jars end up being 6lbs when full. 50 gems at 0.1lb each. And the half pound jar gets rounded up on the weight scale for a total of 6. The boots only holding a small amount supports my weigh valuation too. The 60-70 gems in there probably make the total weight like 10-11lbs.

12 pounds, based on me stuffing about 66 gems into mine and weighing them.

Yea I wasn't talking about mammoth tusks are whatnot that are like 10lbs. But from what I recall I end up with random gem gathering with approx. 250 gems when I hunt in EN and about 100 less in the rift (I don't pick up urglaes fangs but I do end up with a few platnium, gold, and mithril fangs)

Its probably too late to bid. But the pair up for auction now, they are deepened or the pair you sold on BO were deepened and these are a regular set?

Yep - too late as these are SOLD to TK837. Neither of the unaltered boots were of the deepened variety - I'm not sure you would be able to get these deepened under current restrictions.

I just showed a clip of my altered/deepened ones showing I registered them 4-5 years ago - as an example. These are/were not for sale.

Thanks for the interest!
