/act is PLAIN STUPID!
i ain't a ranger but hell i heard some were just tired of seeing small crap "riding" through /act their pets..

or those smile as he punches you...
you know, those indirect actions shouldn't be allowed at all! if you can't do it, don't do it!

Leave it, a lot of people can put it to good use. Limiting people to a select set of verbs would suck for a lot of really good roleplayers.

Yeah, and maybe people will realize they should be using the act/smile verb.

ISuckAtRoleplaying ignorantly asks, "Hello! smiles sweetly at you How are you?"

Act isn't so bad. People that abuse it are bad.

That's really a joke between the two guys involved. The reason Murp mentions it so much is the attack verb for companions doesn't work on PC's anymore so his panther has no way to respond.

Anyway, I think the ACT command can be useful for those who really want to use it, and the people who abuse it are a small (if vocal) minority, so

I think the act verb is great. I hate being limited in the uses of the verbs there. There are lots that GS hasn't come out with, and 'act' is the only way to express them.
I hope they never take away 'act'.

I use it frequently. I believe however if people abuse it by forcing motions on others or in an OOC manner they should be banned from using it. Most things people have freely should actually be given to only those who deserve it
