You can get a vultite katana from the NPC Sabizki for about 700k-1mil (price is racial dependent)

He stays in a shack midway between Illistim and Logoth (in between the entrances to Gossamer Valley and the Blighted Forest on the Sapphire Gate map) and will ask you to run an errand for him... usually it's picking up something from a shop, but sometimes it's an herb or gem.

You have to ask him about work or friend or supplies or something like that.
