[Upper Dragonsclaw, Boulder]
The crest of the towering boulder affords a good view of the surrounding countryside. To the north, you see the dense forests of the Lower Dragonsclaw. Looking northeast, the verdant grasslands sprawl down towards the coast. Gazing southward at the slopes, in the distance you see the snow-covered summits of the Dragonsclaw mountain range, shrouded in perpetual mist. You also see a rock cairn.

Vivaldi seems a bit less imposing.
Vivaldi becomes solid again.
The glowing specks of energy surrounding Vivaldi suddenly shoot off in all directions, then quickly fade away.
Vivaldi's movements no longer appear to be influenced by a divine power as the spiritual force fades from around his arms.
The powerful look leaves Vivaldi.
The brilliant luminescence fades from around Vivaldi.
The deep blue glow leaves Vivaldi.
The dully illuminated mantle protecting Vivaldi begins to falter, then completely fades away.
The very powerful look leaves Vivaldi.
The white light leaves Vivaldi.
Vivaldi appears less battle-ready as a soft glow dissipates from around his form.
Vivaldi appears less confident and fearless.
The dim celadon wisps about Vivaldi's hands flare up once more and fade completely away.
The silvery luminescence fades from around Vivaldi.
The light blue glow leaves Vivaldi.
Vivaldi seems to lose some focus as his eyes narrow and shift momentarily to one side.
A crimson mist bleeds out from Vivaldi's exposed skin.
Vivaldi loses the flickering heather blue energy surrounding him.
The bright luminescence fades from around Vivaldi.

Well to be fair, who in Elanthia would know that's outworldly to say that [Jay Z reference].

I don't really see "forums" "town forums" or "town boards" all that OOC ever.

I dunno man. Maybe I'm desensitized to the dumbfucks on the amulet with all the TTM MB BO IMAFAG. Actually directing someone to the "town bulletins" isn't that big of a deal. GS needs as much tolerance as they can stand at this point... when 600 at peak is a GOOD day.

If he said "town bulletins" that would be different. He said forum and there's nothing in Elanthia called a forum.

Look I know you and Drew are friends, but that doesn't negate his OOC comments tonight.

Maybe I am being the devil's advocate, but I think you could make the argument there is...

1. the marketplace or public square of an ancient Roman city, the center of judicial and business affairs and a place of assembly for the people.
2. a court or tribunal: the forum of public opinion.
3. an assembly, meeting place, television program, etc., for the discussion of questions of public interest.

Damn. Even with the plate being crush resist he still got it.

I might be a little impressed if Deron hadn't snuck up on an unarmed target, or if he had killed the guy in one shot.

As it stands, he just comes across like the inbred dipshit that he probably is.

I don't care one way or another about the conflict. But crit killing someone with a crushing blow against half-plate that is crush resistant is nifty in my book. Also, I never understood why anyone ever walks around defenseless. That's just silly.

I'm with you - don't know either of these people.

But calling this tool out was too difficult for me to resist, particularly after he posted so proudly about it and called himself "the great Deron". Maybe I'm the dumbass for not keeping my mouth shut.

Not that it matters much....but wouldn't half-plate without a helm provide chain coverage on the (already crush-vulnerable) head/neck, where he was hit?

I walk around defenceless a lot. I take off all hunting enhanciv's and stow the bow. Sometimes remove armour.
All because I hate how it all looks. I used to have an awesome hunting outfit but I sold it all.

Doesn't half plate not cover the head in plate and instead covers it with chain protection?

Good point on the Plate Vs Chain.

As for armor interfering with your fashion sense, since when is being dead fashionable?

I wasn't going to bother, since the kill wasn't anything really spectacular, nor did I do anything to prepare for it other than walk out there, but since it's wandered into mechanics, I suppose I will.

This hit I actually was wearing "a ridged mithril kettle hat with wide brim", that is head only armor with dispel flares, mainly because I like the look of the hat.

So that hit consisted of:

SCP + Plate crit divisor+10% crush resistant +slightly lower AvD for halfplate VS HCW handaxe + pushdown + rogue ambush ranks (1x+) = 33HP loss, 4 round stun, 2per head bleeder

HCP + chain crit divisor +10% crush resistant +slightly lower AvD for halfplate VS HCW handaxe + pushdown + rogue ambush ranks = 33HP blood loss, death.

Had I been wearing my normal hunting head/neck greathelm, I don't think I would have died.
