View Full Version : Fandolier
Willing to take silver offers on it, Got my little one to 12. Great item, just I'm not patient enough to bring up a new one. And don't want to buy a character.
Info is in the trade folder.
Still prefer trades, but will listen to silver offers, 60m straight out owns it (what I paid.)
Current offer is a little over 50m in trade/coin value. I'm icing that one right now to see if anything else comes up.

See if your sister comes up with icing on her face instead.

Eh, what was the point in that? Everyone likes cake.
I like cake....
Bandolier gone in a nice deal.

I hope it stays gone for a bit. They are excellent, excellent weapons if you have a build that makes them work. Thrown warriors around cap are pretty damn cool. I imagine thrown Paladins will be even better, but it is much more expensive.
Do you know the profession of the person you sold it to, Sile?

I know I loved mine. Hurling two aimed handaxes in 4 seconds is pretty devastating (halfling warrior).
Typically I'd aim left leg, hurl, aim head, hurl and it was pretty much guaranteed I'd kill like aged critters (including illoke) in 8 seconds. If I just aimed head I was killing like aged about 1/3rd the time in 4 seconds (purely anecdotal figure, but that's what it felt like).

Debia typically dropped War Griffins in one shot with the spear bandolier. Griffins aren't squishy, but I doubt they are as thick as Illoke, though. Can't wait for her to get back up to 2x Thrown. Should be pretty gruesome with Arm of the Arkati running.

Bandoliers are hands down the best treatment for war griffins. It is actually the best build against them (outside archery I would assume) that I have seen thrown really shine.
Wait, Debia went Paladin? Whoa...

Warriors are terrible way, way post cap. It was good RP too.

Seems that way for both squares these days. Rogues are still nice, but with virtually zero in terms of development or anything anytime soon, I'd jump ship if I could.

Monks will allow anyone with more than 101 ranks of brawling (Meaning no pures) to switch up. Might be an option, especially if you have the TPs to spare.
Basically, Warriors have no lores, no spells (Don't start on this), etc to train in. Their biggest Post cap goals are usually 3x Shield and/or 3x Dodge. Well, training in that is about as fun as it sounds. Or you can pick up a 4th weapon style. Whoopty shit. Rogues I think if you're patient are a good deal go ALL the way up to 75 ranks of Minor Elemental. And hell, since you made it that far, up to 125 in Minor Spiritual. That is what Tsin did.

Is this true? If it is, I have some concerns about how this will work. I was 2x brawling but I dropped it. Will, at any time, having 1x brawling allow one to convert?
I don't forsee monks being in the live game till 2010. Test server sure.

Belnia would be the best source of information. I think the information the player received was from Simucon at the time.

Nope I'm not sure what profession is going to use them. I loved it to be honest. I added some coin and traded up for the runeblades. Sile is going to be switched to dual wield in the next week or so.
I just couldnt work in a thrown training plan without too much sacrifice as a paladin still being untrained for full plate, and only being mid 60's. My little one I got to 14 or so in a couple weeks, he rocked, dual throwing was fun, with fu thrown in for good measure. Definitly seemed viable long term, just I'm not patient enough for the less then lvl 40 levels anymore.

Yeah, as a Paladin 2x Thrown is mighty painful. Can't say as I blame you, but Dual use of Runeblades is awesome. How many were there originally, 4? 2 people each Dual weilding is about as cool as it gets in terms of using those weapons.
I think there were 7 originally. Aparently someone owns 3 together, I will be owning 2... and there are 2 missing.
Iwould make an attempt to track down more when I get the funds up, but I doubt they would be easy to find. I'd have better luck getting an ebow.

Are you talking about the named dwarven runeblades? There were 7 of those.

My notes have them as old style glaes, so 15 pounds each.
Evil and ruin befell the Lands.
Seven strong hearts and seven stout hands,
wielding fire to stem the flow,
guarded the pass against their foes.
Seven stood in the darkest hour.
Fire in hand, whilst the village did cower.
Against the ancient evil of old,
they stood as one, brave and bold.
Seven blades flashing bright,
mighty brands to pierce the night.
Did set all their foes a'straight,
withering them in ruint fate.
Aelthed, Orin, were the first to fall,
five now stood and fought for all.
Farouk, Karo, followed soon,
three blades still shined against the moon.
Three blades left began to fade.
Without all seven their doom was made.
Iubdan, Manser, fought till death,
with ebbing strength and waning breath.
Ottar held his blade up high.
Lightning crashed against the sky.
Seven blades their powers meshed,
to cleave asunder demon flesh.
With fading breath and dying sight,
Ottar passed beyond the Light.
The weapons great, their wielders strong.
Together these blades shall right the wrong.
Seven blades, each with a light,
came together in blazing might.
Separate, each had a fire.
Brought together they formed a pyre.
The village free, the seven dead,
weapons were laid beside each head.
And if the lores of old ring true,
seven blades shall rise anew.

Yeah, as a Paladin 2x Thrown is mighty painful.
Limper did it, but he used the returning hammer, which is now 8X and sold. Bonding to that hammer for holy flares, a tower shield, full plate and the STR to hurl in 3 seconds was sick. Absolutely sick.
