"Helps defend" on a weapon?

Found an otherwise normal imflass twohander that has a special ability:

The harmonics generated tell you that the sword helps defend the one who wields it.



So, is that a defender weapon? If so how do I tell how good? I used value, purpose, magic, ability and can't get anything else. Value by bardsong was 150k.

Only way to test the bonus is to grab another weapon of the same type/enchant and test it. Can't coax it out with a song.

Ok, thanks.. Would I just stand in offensive with them and compare the numbers? Would dodging ranks skew things?

It shouldn't matter as long as you don't add in any other variables. You'll have the same dodge ranks when you're holding both.

Just to emphasize what Kitsun said, be sure the weapon you compare it to is of the same enchant. Two handed weapons have a parry modifier that could complicate things.
