Anyone here had this procedure done?
Fixing to get it done myself unless I change my mind within like 6 days. I already have the appointment set up.
I just seem to be hearing a bit more about possible problems now then what I heard from my eye doctor.

Try pills before you try surgery to enlarge your PP. You don't want your junk to end up all fucked up.

So far so good, not that anyone cares!
I had some problems at first, my eye was shedding! Kinda like an onion or something, it was peeling. I dunno. I didn't ask for a real explanation from the Doc. And I had a scratch that was healing too fast, which was trying to scar over or something, he took some tweezers and peeled that off, then put a 'bandage' on it, which was just a contact lens of some sort. Anyhow the next day after surgery my eye sight in the operative eye went from 20/400 to 20/40 even with the scratch/scar, and it should get to 20/20 by the time I go back for my next appointment.
On to the next eye on the 14th.

Better pray your night vision doesn't get fucked up (permanently).
It's gonna make stalking Diethx that much more difficult.

Pretty sure that night vision problems are mostly with the lasic surgery where they cut away part of your eye. Most of the problems associated with this procedure are more drastic, like retinal detachment or cataracts.

actually i guess that says something about halos

And the shedding thing wasn't even visible without the microscope, my eye was just red and irritated, felt kinda bad, and he figured out the problem was because of that I think.

Forgot about this thread.
Had my second eye done on the 14th, and it went much smoother than the first. Had almost 20/20 vision from the time I sat up, and it was 20/20 the next day at the followup appointment. No problems with it so far.
First eye still is only at 20/30 or so. Doc says its likely because my astigmatism didn't get fully corrected, and he is going to do another quick cut next Wednesday to correct that.

what was the cost?

3k per eye
Pays for everything you should need to do with the eye surgery for at least one year from what I recall. The lens, the anesthetist, all the eye drops, the appointments, any touch ups and follow up appointments.
And since its the implant lens, instead of lasering off half your eye, it is totally reversible if there is ever a problem.
The laser is cheaper though, I think it was like 2.1k per eye.
These prices are local though, I have no idea what it would cost from another doctor somewhere else.

I've thought of having lasik done, but I'm super-sensitive and squeamish when it comes to anything eye-related. I freak out if anything gets too close to my eyes.

The numbing drops really take care of any of that. I never had contacts because I didn't like messing with my eyes. But this wasn't so bad.
