How do you transfer all of the music from your iPod onto a new computer with a fresh iTunes?

I could've googled this but I truly appreciate the advice of the PC.

lol!

anyways, apple saves all your stuff so you can have them transfer over your itunes for you. They let you do this like 5 times for free or something but it only works for music you bought on itunes. If you ripped from a CD you will have to rip it again. Or you can download a program that rips music from your ipod to your PC. We used IDUMP but that was a while ago so you should probably google "ipod to pc" or something. Either way, Apple makes it a real bitch when you change computers. Maybe someone knows an easier way.

I recently had to do something like this, but I have all my music kept on a 1 TB external harddrive for various reasons. If you don't mind spending a little money you can find one on the low, maybe even discount for discontinued models. Hook it up and just copy you "music" folder over to it. Then once you plug it into your new computer you can either leave them all on the external or you can click and drag them into your new music folder.
Now all you do is:
-> Go up to file,
-> Add Folder to Library,
-> Click on the "Music",
-> Click ok, then wait as it imports all the music.
