Mad Scientists... Never thought they have the capability of doing that... Wonder how viable their cloned embryos are...

I don't see the problem with it.

You will have a great time with the ethical bodies regulating this law...

This is just like every other great discovery in human history. Someone will get caught doing some freaky shit with it and there will be a huge up roar. After everything dies down, this mad scientist's work will yeild some very important discoveries that will benefit all mankind.
I don't see a problem in researching it. It will lead to things like organ cloning, which will all but eleminate the organ donor's list. Since the cloned organ is of the patient who will receive it, there will be no need for anti-rejection drugs. I think it's a great step forward.

Actually... the thing is... there is two type of stem-cell development. There is therapeutic stem cell replication and embryonic replication. With the therapeutic system... you don't clone and embryo, only the stem cells that are derived from still-borne or aborted fetuses. No embryo getting cloned, etc. The pay-off is way more beneficial in this method, not to mention the fact that it isn't contraversial. I think the embryo cloning is just to say that "we've done it" kinda thing. Oh well.

Human cloneing scares the shit out of me. Would the clone have a soul? how would something "manmade" have a soul?
It just freaks me out.

They need to find a gene for rudeness first in Korea before they worry about other diseases.

I agree with Cat. I honestly believe that's a dangerous road they're going down, with cloning humans.
