You damn bloody americans. Human rights? You should be the VERY last people in the world to talk about human rights. I don't even think you people are a true democracy.

Although I despise firearms, this is why I own several pistols in my US homes.

Absolutely DISGUSTING. For shame.

Where the hell are you from? You don't think most Americans with a brain realize this? Gen-X is slowly losing the wealth they received from their parents that got the economy back on track in WWII. Hopefully Gen-Y can do the same. It seems like things will get back on the track in 5-10 years.

Most of the twenty-somthings people I know all agree with what you said.

And yes, we're not a "true Democracy". A true Democracy is just as retarded as a true Communist state, or a true Socialist state. Extremes are dangerous.

I don't have to ask if your stupid, I already got that part. Trying to say there is something wrong with all of us because of what those people did?

Look up some videos from other countries. I bet you will find far worse, and a lot more of it.

I find it hard to believe she called for help, they arrested her, and then three cops maliciously stripped her for no reason.

Sure, horrible things happen all over but let's not use that as an excuse to be less than outraged and horrified that this particular incident occurred.

And yes, the OP is an idiot for making this about democracy and America.

As the video interviewer stated though, there are definite guidelines for strip searches. They were not followed.

Yeah I commented before I finished the video... so I guess it was inappropriate for the male cops to be doing that.

Not only that but they left her naked in her jail cell for six hours afterward. How can anyone possibly justify that as reasonable.

Way to be stupid with the blanket statement.

Although I despise firearms, this is why I own several pistols in my US homes.
And when I thought you couldnt get any more retarded...
YOU WIN!

*edited to add:
I can understand your disgust at what happened in the video. I'm sure many feel the same way (me included). Why you decided that this video represents America as a whole is beyond me.

And then after you berate the US for lack of human rights, you become ironically thankful of the right to bear arms to the very country that you just slammed for a lack of other rights while eluding to your prowess of owning multiple homes in the US. Like your ownership of a few firearms will change what happened to the lady in the video or would have prevented that very thing from happening to you if your roles were reversed. Are you trying to portray yourself as an international version of vanilla ice or something?

(Not that being strip searched by a bunch of (sexy) female cops in a jail cell doesnt sound like a fucking fantasy or anything)...

Where did I say it was OK? I never stated my feelings on what happened in the video.

Why would they need to strip search her anyway?

I watched the video and I saw at least one female officer.

No one said there were no female officers present. The rules say though that there shouldn't have been ANY males present. And I saw at least two of them removing her clothing.

Are you serious? Granted, if what happened in the video is true, she was denied rights. But to imply all Americans are like this because of one group, makes you look really stupid. More than stupid. If you feel that way about Americans you can take those guns and shove them where the sun don't shine and leave the US. Why do you have a home here? They must be the flop and crack houses you have to stay at when you finally make it out of the hold of the ship you stowed away on to get here.

I couldn't find the loser icon... so LOSER.

Here's another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cl67FmVRjYs&e= Most ignorant Americans pretend that these sorts of events are isolated occurrences so they can beg off moral responsibility. The fact is, thinking about bullies violently enforcing one's own idiotic perspective makes most Americans wet in their pants.

You aren't very bright, no offense. You see, first you went the safe route and said "ignorant Americans", but then you got so carried away with the shithead point that you were trying to make, that you switched your focus to "most Americans". It is poorly worded and inconsistent paragraphs like this that will cause editors to reject your writing FOR NO REASON.

When you can CLEARLY point out how I contradicted myself, I'll admit that you're brighter than me. When you give up, let me know how much of your life you wasted. Then go take a critical thinking class.

You meant to put your capitalized phrase in quotation marks. That is, you meant to say:

"It is poorly worded and inconsistent paragraphs like this which will cause editors to reject your writing "for no reason".

Clearly, if a paper is rejected because it is "poorly worded" and/or "inconsistent" then it has been rejected for a good reason.

I'll tell you what's going on here. You didn't like the content of my post. It made you mad, irritated, annoyed, angry, enraged, hot in the face, or some such. This, in turn, made it difficult for you to think clearly, as evidenced by almost every portion of your post.

Is it just me, or is that blonde police officer the first attractive female cop I've actually seen? And not because she's being all frisky with a naked chick.

I'm kind of tired and have been raped repeatedly by velociraptors, in case I'm wrong.

So you pointed out a second case. Wow. Aren't you special. How many people are in the USA? I have no doubt something like this happens every day in America.

I also have no doubt something like this happens every day in every other country.

It sucks. But you have absolutely no basis to call us ignorant, or say we shouldn't be talking about human rights etc.

Shut the fuck up.

BTW why do you idiots think you were able to even search for and find these things?

Hmm, maybe because someone somewhere thought there was something wrong with it, and something needed to be done. So what exactly is wrong with trying to correct these types of occurrences by punishing the people who did it?

Speaking of bullies, I don't think I've ever received such a verbal thrashing. I am so fucking pissed right now that I am going to beat my dog.

First, only a tiny fraction of such events are ever widely publicized. It's a miracle that reporters were able to get access to these videos. And the vast majority of such offenses aren't even videotaped.

Second, it's almost always the case that nothing is ever done. For example, consider the massive corruption in Chicago. What happened to most of the officer? Reassignment: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a89_1192208432 I'm linking to LiveLeak only because the original Chicago Tribune article is not easily accessible (probably because it has been removed).

Here's another:

http://www.70news.com/2009/02/06/video-cop-punches-woman-in-face-four-times-during-arrest-for-riding-a-bike/

And another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKy-WSZMklc

And another: http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=4310214 "The office turned off the tape in accordance with normal practice."

Here's a whole slew of pigs laughing about shooting people: http://www.yikers.com/video_woman_gets_shot_in_head_and_cop_laughs.html

I could continue almost indefinitely here, and in many, if not most of the cases, I could produce follow up stories which showed that the cops involved were not punished in any significant way (save, perhaps, temporary paid vacation while an "internal review" was conducted which concluded that the cops involved had "followed all procedures".)

It depends on the states and the court system attached. There are lawyers that make epic amounts of fuck-you money off suing certain police departments.

Most of these cases result in settlements in which the PD admits no guilt. The victim gets some money, but the pig and the PD get off.

Still... there are locales where brutality has been greatly reduced and in general there's been a historic reduction post second half of the 20th century.

On the other hand... the tactics practiced in a lot of the recent major city 'cleanups' have raised those numbers on an upward swing again.
