Armor Padding

trying to find some details on crit factor difference between chain and plate. More or less is heavy crit padded hauberk have the same crit padding as plan full plate. I know padded has a "random" factor to it while plate would not but still trying to get a general idea is +10 padding about equivalent to upping 1 tier armor type.
