Mm kay. I refrained from airing out a beef with this guy, but he turned a bantering convo between me and Brimzstone on the amunet into a discussion about bestiality, so what the hell.

If you've spent any amount of time in the Landing, likely you've heard this guy advertising his stuff every 2 minutes on the amunet. Don't think he hunts or anything, mostly just eBays/does in game transactions for silvers to sell on eBay. Anyway, I digress.

Step 1 on the path to wrath started at one of his auctions. He asked me to hold notes and shit for him, and since I'm usually a nice guy, I said whatever, fine. During this auction, he sells something for Amberain, and when said item (I think it was a hip chain) doesn't go for what she wants, he whispers, "Amberain is going to bid and buy it. Give it to her outside and I'll sell it later." That should have been my first clue. Second clue, I had a bid of 10m on his vultite fish spine sword. Victorae outbids me, outbids me, and outbids me each time waiting until GOING THREE TIMES, until the bid goes to 19m. At which point I would have stopped if I got outbidded again. So I strongly suspect that that was just price padding, in hind sight.

About 3 months ago, I was selling a 10x shield. Needed coins pretty fast at the time to buy an e-wave weapon I wanted, so I sold it cheap (I think12m?) Xolean said he needed a day to get the coins from his other accounts together, so I shrugged it off and said fine. Few days pass, he says he's waiting for a friend to come with money. I was starting to get pissed, but not really much I could do about it because I wanted to honor the sale. A few MORE days pass, and the khopesh I wanted gets sold to someone else. Well, as you can imagine I was rather pissed, but I got over it. The next day I think he IMs me and says, "Meet Riftur at the bank, and give me whatever's left over from the note he gives you."

So Riftur hands me a note for 14m, and that's when it finally clicked. The asshole sold a shield he didn't even have to someone else for a profit, dicking me over in the process. I took the note, deposited my 12 million, and gave the leftover 2 to someone I saw running messages around town. Xolean bugs the shit out of me about it, and I ignored him thereafter. So he continues hockin his stuff for awhile, and finally he holds this big retirement auction, all bitching because of maltreatment from GM's about his multiple accounts or whatever. So he sells his crap, manages to get decent prices for it. Lo and behold, a month later he's back as Xarneon, selling some of the same high end junk Xolean couldn't sell.

And now that shit he tried to start with me tonight. It's on now. Prepare to get torn apart (intellectually of course).

Xarneon whispers, "Yeah, first week of augutst...and you sold much of your belongings telling people you were leaving the lands. Don't worry about it, I won't do any business with you again."

Heh... Xolean agreed to buy a 5x shield from me once and then dissappeared. He though to me like two weeks later with the same stuff about someone else picking it up and "transferring coin" between characters, but by that time I had already sold it for more than he was willing to pay.

It's not exactly dishonest merchanting, but it's totally lame. Plus, he sells things for Amberain..... need we say more?

I'll give my 2 cents on this situation. I never really minded Xolean too much, wasn't a friend of his, but he never bothered me with his selling. One day he found out Alawren was trying to sell a bunch of stuff...mostly 6-10x. So anyways, he offers to sell all this stuff for her for a slight fee, so she agrees and lets him do his annoying thing. Anyways, he sells most of this stuff for what she asks (or more), and then i hear he's "leaving the lands," so i approach him at his auction and ask for the silvers that are hers from the stuff we sold (we were together at the time). He yells at me to stop bothering him, and say's she'll get it soon. So later in the auction i see him selling an 8x axe starting at 1 coin...odd, that was Alawren's 8x axe he sold at his retirement auction...that's just wrong. So i bitched at him about that, and he IMd her and told her to have me back off or he would hurt me...right... So i drop it for then..later i find out she gave him 25m more silvers, him still having all her silver in exchange for an 8x permabless falchion. So i ask him for the falchion a few times, he has excuses every time. Finally a flip at him and demand either the silvers or the falchion. He makes up some BS story about it being on a character that's currently locked out of the lands...im sure...So next time i see him im ready to kill him, and i find out he (supposedly) sold Xolean on Ebay...then i fond Xochlan, same story...Skorpy...same story, Xolena, same story. So im getting sick of this shit, he doesnt respond to my email, or IM, and he avoids me IG at all cost. So please...kill the asshole...and search his rotting carcass to see if he has the 65m silver or the damn falchion...i'd love to have his throat the first to be cut with it.

So I get this IM from an old friend of the Elanthia. Leads me to this thread. I take a glance and realize that I made some mistakes. I've contaced both Alarke and Alawren on the matter Alarke brings to the thread. SInce there is nothing better to do than bash people/characters, I only have this to say. I've sold all my accounts, two accounts were sold with several higher end items, they were excellent merchanting accounts. I've moved on from Gemstone, perhaps one day I might find my way back, but not in the near future. If you have problems with those characters, then talk to the characters. Officially, the original player of Xolean, et al, has been out of GS for some time.

So, as I understand it, Alawren let Xolean sell items for her. He says he has sold them, but does not pay her what he owes her. Then, Alawren (still not having received her money for the sold items) gives him ANOTHER 25m for a permablessed falchion that he does not give her at the point of sale. So now, he has all the coin he made selling her items and the 25m she gave him for the permablessed falchion, AND said permablessed falchion.

Xolean sounds like a complete asshole, but Alawren is not blameless here, either...if for nothing other than blatant stupidity! I do hope she has learned something from all this. :rolleyes:
