So I'm walking back to my dorm from parking my car today and was almost run down by an Acura Legend. At my school cars are supposed to yeild to pedestrians(sp?) at these marked cross walks (but not drivers of acura legends aparently). Anyways, not paying attention I walk about 3/4's of the way through the crosswalk and I look too my right to the screaching of these tires, speed limits 20mph so there's really no reason to be squealing your tires. So after my life flashes before my eyes I walk by some guy about 10 seconds later and he says as I'm walking by him "Didn't your mother teach you to look both ways before crossing the road?"lol: Being too shocked by the almost getting smoked I just kept walking. Though next time I see him I'm going to give him a piece of my mind.
Anyone else have a fun day?
Also taking suggestions and what to say to that guy.

Took a test, made arrangements to go home this weekend for a wake/funeral service, went to class, read. All in all, another thrilling day.

There's a crosswalk at school that I use almost every day. I probably come close to getting hit 2-3 times a week. The best thing to do when someone rolls up on you is just turn and stare. I'm bigger and skurrier than a majority of the idiots who roll around in rice rockets, so it usually works well.

Well, im having a fun day, but it involves my work, so its kinda hard to explain to people not in my profession. But i wouuld ask that dumbass if his mother told him never to run over a knife with his tires cause all his tires would surely be slashed. wait, that'll get you in trouble, just stick a couple boards on the passenger side of his car with nails in them (small boards, big nails) try and angle it so it gets his side wall too (can't repair the sidewalls of tires) and keep a look out on him for when he leaves, and as he is trying to figure out how he picked up the boards on the road, just tell him if he didn't get his license from a cracker jack box he would know not to run over boards on the road. or something to that effect. Kicking his ass is also in the equasion i would think too.

No wait, my lack of the ability to write coherent paragraphs is kicking in. The guy who said the crossing the road gem to me, is different from the woman who almost ran me down. Now I may never see the woman in the car again, but this guy lives in my dorm area, so chances are I'll see him again.

Dave are you going to drive 6 hours to help me out? Besides the guy looked like a hippy so I can't see him putting up too much of a fight.

Not particularly no. Was downstairs in our receiving department using our 1 ton beast of a bailer as i do everyday...tediously. I was in the process of making it ready bail the cardboard and i head the hook that holds the bailers crushing plate (bout 7 foot long 5 inches thick, 3 feet wide and solid steel) slipped off, so i ran around the back and hooked it back on but failed to return to the control panel to stop the damn thing so the 2 inch thick motor chain snapped and was launched at my face....a mere 2 inches from a nasty fatal head wound. The chain plunged through an inch of dry wall and traveled another foot through it untill it stopped.

So now the bailer is currently out of comission, i almost lost my life to a stupid machine...and quite possibly might lose my managerial position (not that it concerns me too much) What a fuckin day

There was a lot of "Holy shit" from my co-worker Ben and another grunt that was present. Sounded like a damn gun had gone off behind the bailer. Suffice to say i was shocked for the remaining hour of my shift.

Hippie Killer by Suicidal Tendancies is the best song ever.

Blast that around any college campus, and you'll get some looks.
