I think it's a little ridiculous, but don't really blame the parents for wanting their child to live in Fantasyland during her short life. I think a lot of parents might react oddly to that kind of emotional stress.

Thank god she didn't want to be an airline pilot.

I think it would have been nicer if we didn't hear about it due to her parents not parading around her corpse saying "NO OTHER CHILD HAS LEUKEMIA EXCEPT OURS. WE'RE ON THE NEWS, BITCHES!"
