Okay, so I have to go to a wedding, and I'll probably be wearing a strapless dress. Anyone know where to buy GOOD quality strapless bras (or any bras); please no victoria's secret. I'm not fond of their crap.

ps. I thought there was a thread about this, but I guess I was wrong. Commence please.

ROFL it's not strapless, but the wedding will be summer in Napa, so I just might see something like that.

You could glue seashells to your nipples and then come out of a giant clamshell like The Venus. Jethro Tull's "Aqualung" would play on the chapel organs. The wedding would be under water too.

So yes, Mel, "Shark Week" on the Discovery Channel was a bit too inspiring to me.

A lot of these are geared towards bustier women, but I've found very good quality.

With strapless dresses I usually wear a corset to keep the girls in place.

Oh yum....feel free to post more in the topless thread, too.

I own two strapless bras but I hate them and wear them only under duress. Maybe I, too, have just never found a good one? I prefer to wear a corset under strapless dresses for formal events. I'm like, one third Nikki's size, heh, but it still feels more secure to wear a corset.

Yeah, I've heard from pretty much all bust sizes that corsets are the way to go under strapless dresses. One of my best friends is really flat and even she prefers to feel/shape from a corset to a strapless bra. I think corsets are truly universal.

They probably cost more than a strapless bra does, too (just guessing). Can you even lace one of those up by yourself? Just mentioning the little things that one must consider when buying underthings. I mean is that sort of thing worth it for one wedding? I'm curious...how many of you ladies own one? It's just a hunch, but I can't say I really believe I've met someone wearing one before (not that I know the telltale signs of corset use).

Take pics of the process getting into and out of it...PM me with them when you finish....please.

Or just forget the seashells. Uma Thurman is hot.

My bras cost about the same my corset cost me to make.. also, I've never had someone come up to me and say, "excuse me, are you wearing a corset?". A lot of people who do waist-training wear corsets day in and day out and are never noticed. The only tell-tale sign is mostly "Wow she has a tiny waist".

And yes, you can lace them up yourself. You start with it unlaced to the point that it's comfortable to secure it on via the buttons/hooks. Then you work from the middle up and the middle down on the laces as evenly as possible and keep progressively tightening it, moving around between each tightening to make sure you can move comfortably in it. Then when you have it tightened to where you want it, tie off the laces into bows and tuck them into the bottom of the corset. Obviously, it requires a tiny bit of flexibility but by no means acrobatic/contortionist skill.

Frankly, I despise strapless bras. I don't think they ever truly support the way a strapped bra does and their only real purpose is to prevent the wearer from nipping through thin fabrics.

But, I thought that was the whole point of thin fabrics...now I am just confused. :help: Accepting thin fabric nipping pics for verification.

I actually own quite a few corsets (steel bone kind). I'm not fond of how large they make your hips look unfortunately (I'm hip phobic), but I can definitely try that. The lines of the dress I'll be wearing are pretty clean, but it's silk, so I'd also have to worry about any of those telltale crease lines corsets leave in clothing.

Also, my boyfriend would lace it for me. He better... anyway.

Finally, quit posting pictures of bras with straps. Fuck, who can't tell the difference between a strapless and strapped bra? You have to be pretty thick.

Actually now that you mention that... they make like these sticky cup holders for each breast so you can basically go without a bra to prom and weddings using those.

Fuck if I know what they're called or where to get them however.

IMO, if stickers can hold up your breasts, chances are you don't need the stickers in the first place.

sea salt soaks.

You dissolve sea salt in warm water, put it in a cup and hold it over your piercing for like 5-10 minutes. Makes healing quicker and is very soothing feeling. Salt water is one of the best things you can put on any open wound!

Well, I know the trick with rinsing out your mouth with salt water. But honestly, I've had my ears pierced a couple of times and even using the solution on them hurts like a bitch, but I guess I'm just really sensitive.
