I decided to make some tinctures today and dust off the alchemy flasks I bought at the last EG festival (Home of the Art). I'm not sure this is actually supposed to happen and I'm pretty disappointed.
You focus on the cobalt blue cauldron and pulse a small amount of mana into it. A small flickering flame appears beneath it.
>put water in cauldron
You pour the clear water into the cobalt blue cauldron, keeping the empty flask that remains.
>put salt in cauldron
You place a handful of sea salt into an enameled cobalt blue cauldron.
>drop flask
You drop an empty flask.
>get flask from pack
You remove an octagonal opaque blue flask from in your heavy silk pack.
>l in cauldron
The cobalt blue cauldron is currently lit. So far, you've added water and sea salt.
>get stem
You remove some aloeas stem from in your silver silk pelisson.
>put stem in cauldron
You place some aloeas stem into an enameled cobalt blue cauldron.
>alchemy boil
You focus on the cobalt blue cauldron and push mana into it. The flame beneath it quickly flares up wildly, bringing the contents to a rolling boil.
Roundtime: 20 sec.
R>alchemy seal
You hold your hands over the cobalt blue cauldron and murmur the incantation for sealing the solution. As you do so, a soft pink haze begins to seep out of the cauldron, dissipating as it reaches the ground.
Roundtime: 10 sec.

Gradually, you pulse mana into the cauldron, settling the turbulent essences contained within.
Roundtime: 8 sec.
R>
As you soothe the solution, you can see the liquid ripple and contort slightly as it starts to condense.
Roundtime: 8 sec.

You sense that the ritual is complete and lower your hands. The flame beneath the cauldron quietly goes out. You note that the solution in the cauldron has condensed into a rich potion.
You reach into the cauldron and fill your flask.
>inv
You are holding a tincture of aloeas in your right hand.
>pour aloeas
You pour a small amount of liquid from your tincture of aloeas on the floor. It puddles, and then quickly evaporates.
You only have one dose left.
>pour alo
You pour a small amount of liquid from your tincture of aloeas on the floor. It puddles, and then quickly evaporates.
That was the last drop.
The tincture of aloeas shatters into twinkling dust.
Is the flask supposed to change description when filled and then disappear entirely when emptied? I was hoping to be able to fill a "reusable flask" with tinctures or potions and perhaps even label it with those nifty labels from the same shop.
I assisted in game but the host was unable to give me a definitive answer. I've posted on the officials and await a response from a NIR but I wondered if anyone else had had the same experience?
