Looking for some armor-use wearables. Prefer bonus and non-crumbly, but either way.

I'm thinking about building up a stockpile to see about MBP or such.

Eesh. I wouldn't bother with the armor enhancives, really. The maneuver and RT penalty are 80 and 70 respectively, so that's obviously not a problem. I can only assume you want the enhancives to mitigate the spell hindrance, but even if you fully 2x armor use at cap AND have +50 AU enhancives, you're still 60 ranks short of a minimum hindrance of 22% (for ranger spells).
Doesn't seem worth bothering with enhancives and extra training if you're still going to come up so short.

Yeah, you're right. It's not worth it for hindrance. I was figuring it out just as you posted. On the other hand, if I can get +20 in AU, I can use full plate in invasions (130 ranks) without bothering to train the extra 20 ranks from hauberk. Also, at the moment, I'm a bit below 110 for hauberk, so it'd help until I train that back (dropped it down to 70 a few ago).

If you think you'd benefit from full plate in an invasion, I guess it'd be worth it to pick up the enhancives if only because 1) armor use should be damn cheap, and 2) you're not capped yet. If you were capped, 20 ranks of armor use would be an extremely easy post-cap goal, even at 2x costs.

I'm not sure it'd be useful, but it'd be worth trying out.

I'd think it would be more of a hindrance than anything. During invasions, you're either facing things at or below your level range, in which case our attack spells are incredibly useful, or you're up against things way above you, in which case you'll be needing spells like 117 and 608 to compensate for meager ranger AS. Either way, casting is very useful.

Yep. You've more or less talked me out of going for plate. I'm still looking for some to speed up my retraining to 110 ranks for hauberk, though.

Turinrond did all right in it. Hrm.. maybe an enhancive knowledge 1603 ring or something ... still have to get the spell off in the first place, though.
