GM who altered them should be raped by the face-ripping chimp and then shot.

Yeah, she was at the feature alterer on FWI last night, I guess RPing her character as pregnant. I've noticed her around a few times over the past week or so.

I hate people that RP being pregnant. I'm sure someone on here could pull it off, but I've seen dozens of people try. EPIC FAIL every time.

I don't remember her name. But, there used to be someone in Vaalor that was RPing having a baby. Just for the hell of it (and to see what dumb shit she'd do with it) I bought every baby themed item I could find and gave it to her. I think it was EG 05 that had all kinds of baby items.

BIG mistake. She stalked me for months. I know others on here have dealt with her, I know at least two people were literally stalked by her. But it was funny to see someone playing with rattles and blankies and a baby basket, then throwing the "baby" into their cloak and then go hunting.

The last made me LOL. The only way I see rping a pregnancy in gemstone is refraining from hunting/healing or otherwise dangerous activities, getting rid of the skin tight clothing and sticking with it for the 9 months (or otherwise suggested gestation period). I don't see many people being able to pull it off.

x2; I'd like to see a game though where pregnancy and eating/drinking were built in mechanics, for the endless hours of entertainment it'd provide to that end. Darwinism in truth.

Can't remember the game, but there was/is a text RP game that had something like PCP. You could take it and be stupid strong. Over time you'd have to take more to get the same effects. Eventually you become a crack addict and your character can't survive without it. Was pretty cool coding.

I agree with this. Though I haven't seen anyone really RP pregnancy well, personally I think it's OOG, I'd never do it.

Enegue's wife did an excellent job, with Ylena as the midwife for the birth.. Fuck if I remember her name though.

The best part was nobody saw the "kid" for a good long while, and when they did see the new character it was after an appropriate time period for the "he appears young" tag.

Well, I dunno about it being OOG, because I haven't found the Gemstone cabbage patch yet, and it kind of makes sense that our persistent world would have to somehow be perpetuated, but. I think you're entitled to do more or less anything you want as long as you can make it work in the context of the game itself, and with everything operating off of the passage of real time these days, RPing a pregnancy is a difficult thing to pull off. That said, having a lot of age descriptors enables you to RP a three-year-old, if that's what you want to do. So if you can get past gestation and the first year or two after birth (where your baby-shaped item is portable to the point of fitting in a pair of boots), then you can feasibly take it from there. It's also tough to say what everyone thinks when they see an "extremely young" character, though I think you could make it pretty evident through your RP what you're going for.

Just depends on the person, I guess. I kind of like it when people RP something like that, provided it's done well. Lends a more organic feel to the whole character universe, I think. I'm also pretty glad there's no system or mechanics involved, either. Simu would nerf pregnancy, and Tsin would be the only person in the game with 10x DB altered veil iron quintuplets.

Brownyng, and yeah she was awesome.

Pregnancy can and has been done pretty well.. I just think most people can't handle basically not being able to gain any experience out of the possibility of getting hurt or dying.. also, the birth and the time immediately after would logically mean your character isn't around as much which has its own challenges.

Perfect time to work on a new character. Have your main only show up every so often for awhile, while the baby/child is home with its halfling nanny.
