3 players, price, Kostityn and higgins were part of a rape. Had something to do with local gangs and drugs too.

Their careers would be over after this. The big boss of the NHL is coming to Montreal.

Hey, 100 years anniversary and this.

We will remember.

So three people I never heard of in a generally irrelevant sport "raped" a random chick?

Sounds like Duke Lacrosse all over again.

Which Kostitsyn? I'm sure I'll probably hear more about this by the time I'm home from work tomorrow night, but if you've got an article, link it up. Tough for the Habs, huh? Higgins was finally figuring it out, Price has looked like a franchise netminder for a season and a half now.

...OH WELL.

Go B's! With marginally diminished opposition! Sorry about the rape victim!

Well, I've got this. So unless you've got something else out there, this is what I have to go by until later this morning.

Crazy stuff, if you've got it right.

Both Kostitsyn.

Other guy is Hamrlik

The rape thing is dead. It has something to do with one or more of them being pimps, working with the Russian mafia, with cleaning up dirty money, dealing and taking drugs....

Articles are the shit really since the hockey club and many journalists are doing desinformation. It's becoming a media war.

It's a big bomb down here and now the rumors are that Gainey and Carbonneau will get out today.

Man, we were thinking about getting a big player like Lecavalier... now we're seeing the team getting owned by itself.

p.s. I'm sorry that hockey isn't taking that serious for some of you. I wish it could had been like basketball, that so wonderful sport which always ends with a 2-4 points difference.

First relevant name (and last) this thread has provided! Dude is a legitimate badass, so I wouldn't be shocked if he's keeping his pimphand strong while the soundtrack of Everything is Illuminated plays in the background.

Lol @ You for thinking we actually WATCH basketball on television during a blowout. Criticizing the product for not producing consistant four point spreads when most teams AVERAGE triple digits to begin with is pretty ridiculous.

Isn't anyone else disturbed by the return of the OP?

Well, La Presse (oh-hoh-hoh-hoh!) is reporting that the players were NOT involved in any criminal activity and no criminal investigation is planned, but the NHL is sending investigators to talk to the law today. The bank statements thing is strange and you would think it kind of suggests money laundering, but I dunno. It could also be totally innocent and there could be no wrongdoing on their part at all.

If they do get connected to drugs, I guess it'll be interesting. Bob Probert was suspended for a year for a cocaine bust, and the league has handed down the same suspension to other players in the past, though I think it's always been commuted to a lesser sentence.

That said, Dany Heatley killed a teammate and never got suspended. You could make the argument that his own injuries took care of that for him, and suspending him after the outpouring of support from his team and fans wouldn't have been a very popular move. As long as no one involved blurts out "sloppy seconds," they'll walk.

Roman Hamrlik has played more than 75 games in six of his fifteen NHL seasons. You sure you don't mean Mike Komisarek? Mike Ribeiro has more hits than Roman Hamrlik this season.

Dominik Hasek posted a 0.97 GAA and a .961 save percentage while going 5-1 with two shutouts in the Nagano Olympics. I think it's more fair to say Hamrlik has a gold medal that he borrowed from The Dominator.
