Old Player Returning

Haven't played in a LONG time. Always said I would come back when they implemented Demons. Well, they're close enough. I'll bite.

Pretend I don't know anything. I practically don't, since I haven't played since around 1996-1997.

Question: I've been to the "Sorcerer Depository" but it doesn't have a "guide" yet to how a new sorcerer would be trained.

Where could I find a guide? Or could I hear some pointers?

Would it be preferable to bring back my old 60-65ish charcter or just start a new one?

I understand I would be forced to reallocate immediately, right? So, I don't want to go in completely blind and decimate my old character even further - he was always viable, but not perfectly trained, so I don't want to make it worse.

Would I have more than one shot at reallocating this old character if I bring him back?

Well you can retrain your 60ish sorcerer. so i would bring him back. plus try looking in the sorcerer folder for training tips. or U2U one of the greater Sorcerers from here. like Adredin or Deathravin. im sure they can give you some tips if they are willing...

Thanks Reyek and Adredrin. I sent a U2U to Adredrin. I had thought about starting a thread in the Sorcery section, but it's been quiet for a bit....

I must say I've only been in the game a few minutes, SF certainly does contain some cosmetic improvements over the old Wizard I knew. Definitely a nice change.

Interestingly enough, from what I can tell, the overall response to GS4 has been rather positive. That has me encouraged. We'll see.........

Certainly wouldn't hurt to ask in the Simu forums, also. You should weigh all the possibilities, as the level of change is simply astounding.

Here's a tip, if you've been gone longer than a few years... don't cast mass area spells open, especially in very populated areas. Learn about focusing your implosions and maelstroms, and be careful with 435. Also -- mein golems shard and reflect. Ouch.
