Depends on what you are looking for? I only do raiding guilds because thats what I like but I keep to semi casual raiding. I am not someone who can go 6-8 hours a day anymore (bleh getting old) So CHildren of Patria does 4 nights a week 3 hours a night(Mon-Thurs no weekends). Good guild they are working on Sarth with 3 dragons down. I am back in TE huge number of people in this guild. They raid 4 nights a week Tues-thurs and Sunday 4 hours a night Good guild but you will be lost in the crowd if you are looking to be friends with everyone doesn't happen here. Stay away from Affliction currently joke of the server. Raiding guilds will expect serious dps from rogues and to have everything enchanted and gemmed out.

Or take notice of when you are doing heroics what guilds people are in are they fun to be with etc. Then ask about their guild. I will look up some of the people I know I enjoy grouping with and check out their guilds and send their names your way.

Transfer to Eredar and join Unstable Addiction. It's a raid guild with everything on farm except OS with dragons up I think (they might have cleared that this week for all I know), can raid when you want, won't have to hear shit if you don't raid, etc.

It's a good guild that clears content without it being serious business.

Only thing is they're a night guild. Raids are 12am-5am EST Sunday - Thursday, and they do other shit on offnights...10 mans, pvp, etc.

If you transfer to a low pop server like mine you will practically be a god just for knowing the Naxx fights. A guild I raided with last week kicked me because I told them you could not spell steal the gargoyle buff in the FIRST FUCKING ENCOUNTER in plague quarter. They like refused to believe that it did not work. Got a steady stream of pst's from the rest of the mages in the group informing me I was right after I was saved and kicked.

So it could be worse than wiping for achievements....at least your getting achievements. All I get is angry.

You'd fit in well with our group, but we're very melee heavy at the moment. Somewhat similar to Anticor's guild we regularly raid with 3 DK's, 1 Feral Druid, 1 Enh Shaman and 2-3 Rogues depending on the raid night.

We were hurting for ranged DPS for a while, but we seem to have balanced all of our needs for now. You should definitely app on our website if you're interested in a casual but progressive raiding guild. App'ing isn't necessary as you'd get an instant invite if I let my GM know, but it does bring validity to the fact that you want to be considered an actual raider and not just a friend of a friend, and let other guildies know what you bring to the table.

That's what happened about 1 month before Matray and his merry bunch packed the U-Hauls in the middle of the night for Onibatsu.

We kept coming out of the portals at bad times and catching flame waves, etc. I think the second drake was down to half health. Once those portal guardians go down, it's just a survival thing. It's totally doable at this point.

See, this is why it's dumb. This is a dedicated group of people. It's just a couple people that don't wanna show up on a progression night. But instead of just booting the people who don't show, they screw their dedicated people too.

Checked this morning and only 17 people accepted the invite for tonight's mystery raid. I'm sure a few more will but obviously their little plan isn't going so well.

The only challenging part of the fight is when Shadron and Vesperon are both active. If you are spending a lot of time in that state, it's going to be tough. The best strat is to get your pewpewers to pewpew harder. If you can take Shadron down below 30% before Vesperon lands, the fight becomes very easy.

I guess its kind of a give and take you will get alot of respect from an upstart guild and not as much from a guild thats already done everything. Join a guild with 50 80's thats still trying to clear content and your stock goes up quite a bit from a guild thats got the whole game on farm mode.

You would get a lot of respect in my guild and we have no looting system aside from main spec rolls first, come to think of it we also have not one level 80 rogue either so you would be like rolling in loot but we are new and have not done Malygos together and are still working on drake adds.

I'm mildly sick of my Guild. We do all the raiding at 8-12 est Tues-Thurs and then if we don't finish 25 Naxx we do it on Sunday which is like the most perfect schedule for me. We use to do Need for Main and greed for offspec. But recently they've switched it up and I've been fucking losing my mind.

Our new Loot system now comprises of this. GM Decides> If you are friends with GM or with a lot of the guildies who talk in vent> Loot Council (Basically anyone in vent that says oh give it to this guy)>Link your gear> Need> Greed.

Now our fucking issue is that we've been recruiting some lowbies who need to l2heroic. So every piece of gear is an upgrade for them. I missed out on 3 very good upgrades because this fucking warlock keeps linking his shit sauce. Then I complained a lot of the people tried to justify it and failed miserably. Then the GM tried to and failed. Then some mouthy fucker named Hates told me to just quit the guild then.

After that shit down, the GM gave me 2 pieces of gear to pretty much shut me up because now I can't complain because it would be all like "you just got 2 pieces of gear."

Why can't we just stick to the Need and Greed system. Fucks. I think Me, my brother and my 2 friends irl are gonna just end up starting a guild.

He lvl'd my 19 twink rogue, then he dropped my engineering on him so he could skin stuff while he did quests.....I wanted to get mad but then I remembered I did tell him he could play on any character but Anticor. And now that rogue is just a bank toon.

The few times I have been like....hmmm I wonder what this BG is like while I was leveling I inevitably got wtf pwned by teams of twinks and corpse humped....it feels pretty good to hear them in absolute despair.

I really dont get the idea behind twinking...its like being the smartest kid in special ed. You might get some bright stickers in that little room but once you go home from school you are still like the least powerful player in the game by miles. Worse than that you probarbly payed shit tons of money for gear that is really junk. I mean to each their own I would rather just play WG on even footing then spend months preparing to pwn level 15 people.

Not really. I never twinked, but on one of my incarnations of my druid had a bunch of alliance that I used to do BGs with. I stayed at that level for a while and was never twinked, but because we all owned, used to roll BGs at that level. True twinks frowned on farming HKs out of lowbies in BGs and instead built up real competetive relationships with horde twinks in their bracket.

Mind you, that was all pre-X-server BGs, which effectively ripped the heart out of BGs.

I use an EPGP system for a guild loot, and apply it across both 10s and 25s.

EPs = points for attendance and downing bosses
GPs = points for gear that you've won (50% for offspec, 150% for Tier)

a flat 500 is added to both EP and GP, and then it's a ratio.

If yours is higher, you get priority over someone else.

It tends to favor regular raiders who pass on loot they don't need, and casual raiders who have not been getting anything. Everyone else tends to move up and down in the middle of the band.

It also balances out some situation, where if you're the only hunter (and no enhance shamans) in the raid, and you're getting all the mail drops... you will be at a disadvantage to other DPS (warriors, rogues, etc) when it comes to rings and trinkets... as your GP would be noticeably higher.

I like it much better than your typical DKP system.

Yeah it didn't work out as well as I had planned. He did great in BGs but I just didn't have the killer insinct to randomly gank other people so I converted him to be my primary gathering toon. My shaman has some incredible burst damage now though so I'll see if I can grow a pair and gank some fellow questers.

Of course Nekk pointed out that fact that it would help if I actually equipped (and remembered to use) my PvP trinket once in a while. There's not much use in complaining about getting 10-12k of health melted away before a stun wears off while when I don't even have it equipped.

Jesus christ it copies your stats from armory and even takes into account whether you will oom or not when it suggests a rotation and build....its really nice.

I have no idea...our tank was geared, our healers were geared, we had 13-14 dps doing 3.5k/second but everytime patchwerk would aggro and slam the tank for 30k twice and wipe us. I mean I dont know shit about tanking so our tank could have been fatally flawed or maybe the healers were just taking a piss but for literally 10 straight wipes I looked back at the combat log and the tank took 60k in under 5 seconds....

I mean I know enough about tanking to know our tank was def/crush capped and had epic plate in every slot....So dont need to go into that.

There was also a funny moment when after the tank got two shotted patchwerk came straight at me and i dodged hateful strike twice by the grace of god and we all joked I would tank it next time lol.

Oh, and it's already started - keeping people like Glassjoe and Rockstar because they're good dps, despite being raging douchebags, and yet freaking out over Scherehezade not showing up for ONE night....that's fucking godawful.

There's a requisite need for douchebaggery to become a "top raiding guild" in WoW, and it's not worth it, imo.

Oh, and it's already started - keeping people like Glassjoe and Rockstar because they're good dps, despite being raging douchebags, and yet freaking out over Scherehezade not showing up for ONE night....that's fucking godawful.

There's a requisite need for douchebaggery to become a "top raiding guild" in WoW, and it's not worth it, imo.

I couldn't agree more. There are 3-4 people that need to get punched in the neck repeatedly until they spit up teeth and bone fragments.
