The mathlete team I coach rocked the regional tourney. We took first place in teams. We took 2nd and 3rd individuals. We place 4 kids in the top ten, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 8th.

We go to State in a few weeks. I would like to take credit, but the glory rightfully belongs to the kids. I am just glad I get to play a small part in the formation of the next generation of nerds.

I placed first place regional individual back in 1997 for my level, and my team won first on the way to states as well.

yeah, it is mathcounts. I know this is the internetz, so you have to take what I say with a grain of salt, buy srsly my wife is stupid hot. I always arrange for the team to meet her early in the year. After they wipe their little nerdy drool trails and ask me where I met her, I tell them that I met her at the nationals in mathcounts. All the girls at national math counts are smokin. It is hard to quatify, but their productivity increases greatly after that.

I didn't really win at nationals.

Editted to add: Oh and Stanely, srsly d00d. I think we would be bff in rl. You should come over. My wife makes good cup cakes. We could eat them by the dozens with salad tongs. I also have a ton of boot leg Phish and Dead albums and a dog.
