For those of you who knew him, word has just reached some of us that Erik, otherwise known as Sagan Necropolis, passed away on Monday. Details are sketchy but I thought those of you who would remember him would want to know.

It seems death is the only thing Sagan couldn't cheat, much to my consummate sadness.

Wow.

Only knew him from the PC and briefly in-game, but really nice guy.

Damn. The name sounds familiar but I can't place it. I'm sure it will hit me later. That is unfortunate.

Erik was a heck of a guy from our various interactions during the years.

Sadly will be missed.

Sleep well.

Oh god. I'm sorry I was beefing with him over him killing my character more than half a decade ago. That was so stupid and I'm sorry. Jeeze.

Only dealt with him in Gemstone business but he was quite pleasant. A pity.

Erik had health issues that developed some time after he stopped playing regularly. Some of us who have kept in close contact from those early Gemstone III days knew this, but we don't know if this is ultimately what led to his passing. I'll be sure to answer any questions as I get answers if you wish to PM me on this forum.

Yep, was very saddened to learn this morning of Erik passing. Seems far to many go far to young. Didn't surprise me that Erik didn't make much mention about any health issues, like Karen/Kali he wasn't the sort to talk about such things.

Every few years I miss the old Ice age, and look up GS news online. Tonight I found this forum... Erik, I was very lucky to run into you in GS. We had the greatest fun, and you taught me how to roleplay. This little icon here  reminds me of the fun you and I had spoofing GS one night when we laughed our heads off. Thank you for the fun, and all your mentoring. I am very sad now. I just realized how much your friendship influenced me. Your wit and humor, kindness, devious genius... opened a world of artistry in RP to me.

Snow was missing her husband Sagan till the day she died. He was her one true love, that will never change. As far as I feel, I wish Sagan would finally join Snow as she opens the gate to heaven for him. But I bet Erik would say Sagan would prefer to descend to hell and cause more trouble there. :club:

Erik, you are the best roleplayer I've had the luck to meet. Take care wherever you are out there in this mysterious universe.
