small icy blue sphere

What is this? I found it in a box, but it doesn't sell for more than 300 to the gemshop/pawnshop.

It has a look :

The icy blue sphere is coated with a light layer of frost and lends an intense chill to the air around it. Holding the sphere seems to draw the heat from your hand, chilling your fingertips.

Just trash or should I keep it for something?

Trap component, get far enough in Lock mastery and a rogue can pull them out. Major e-wave when tossed, as you can see... they're kinda fun.
