Or, you can point the item at the creature which will unleash the spirit of the most powerful creatures to perform 1 enraged (like when creatures return to the fray) attack per 100 mana then disappear. The item can also be raised, which releases the same amount of creatures per mana to target anything/everything in the room.

For me, something along the lines of the spirit bow without the side effects.
10x, environ-safe flares, 10 mana/pulse upkeep, ultra-mode that costs 1sp/2 pulses, no injury on dissipation.
