Bard - race - polearm

If a bard is going purely polearm, which I am under the impression is still reliable choice for bards, what race is best to choose.

My assumptions are you want to try to get 53 agi/dex bonus total. Higher strength is beneficial. So would Half-Krolvin be a bad option? They can get up to 55 agi/dex bonus, get 10 str bonus to boot. Will the -5 influence/wisdom and -10 logic be something you wouldnt want to have to overcome?

I'm a fan of half-elves. Enough AGI / DEX for 5 second lance deliciousness without getting wtfpwned too badly by the elf lack of DIS

My elf does ok, rt gets her a lot. pump up that ag and dex as soon as you can.

I don't feel like I could rationalize using a lance unless GS had horses. It's just ridiculous.

I'm surprised that an elf isn't a pain because of their DIS and multi-song penalty.

my lance wielding elven bard is one of my favorite and best hunters.

I have some dex and ag items as well as some haste items, the rt is what is nasty sometimes.
