So i got this Virus....says its called Trojan.Patchep!inf and it copied the name of a file i got in the system called Services.exe ......everything i've tried to use to Quarentine it or clean it has failed and i can't even delete the file.....any ideas on how i can get rid of this virus? it has yet to do anything to my computer as the programs i have used have at least managed to deny it acess, but its still trying to attack the computer and such.....any help would be much appreiated. And incase your wondering i have been using Norton AntiVirus Corp. and spy sweeper.

Install Avast and run a boot scan.

there in lies your problem. Norton FTMFL....i'd say Kasperky, the PANDA, even AVG would be better than norton... Norton internet security and their antivirus are nothing more than a waste of money and a joke. they are the last to pick up newer viruses and first to be fooled.

Turn off your system restore. Sometimes a virus will hide inside the folder that the backups are stored in, and virus scanners can't touch it. They repopulate themselves every time you restart the computer.
